Very well done!!!!!
How thrilled you must be on your incredible journey. Congratulations! ππ
marvellous, well done ππ
Wonderful! Very jealous. I will do it one dayβ¦
Well done, you must be feeling brilliant! I did just the last 100 kilometres, from Sarria to Santiago over 5 days in May 2019. That was 8 mths after being diagnosed with PMR, and I was then on 10mg, and full of energy! I would love to go back, and do the whole thing - I am now retired, so it is on my bucket list. Good luck to you on this PMR journey!
I went form Ponferrada to Santiago. I did not know how I was going to do. Much of the planning went on during the time I was not on prednisone. Without the prednisone I do not believe I could have made it. On 5mg I did just fine. Matter of fact I did better than fine. I have no doubt I could have done the whole thing. Other than my feet killing me I never really felt pressed. I am thinking about going back in September to do the whole thing or just do it from Porto. With this said, I may save the Porto trip to do with the wife. We will see.
Well done, SMH4CRNA. That is some feat (or feet, depends how you look on it)! I've walked from Astorga to Santiago, over a period of two years, that's to say two separate journeys. Think that's probably me lot - at least until things improve radically on the PMR journey. Such a wonderful Camino...
Fortunately, I have been symptoms free since going back on prednisone. So, I really did not have any physical limitations. I am nervous about tapering off again. Without prednisone I'm in misery.
With this said, the wife suggested I come back to do the El Norte section. I just may do this.
A terrific accomplishment! πππ
Well done! I haven't seen any of your posts before so don't know your story.I did the camino twice! I loved it so much. The second time I did it in stages.
To do it whilst suffering from Pmr is amazing. How was it? How far did you walk each day?
Yes! Do go back and do the El Norte if you can. And let us know how you get on.
I walked on average 22-26km per day. Shortest was 18km and the longest was 30k. I will have a checkup with the new Rheumy in July. I will see how this goes. I may have some news that may not qualify me to be part of this group, but I am waiting to see following the appointment.
Well done you!
Well done you. Great accomplishment. So jealous.
