Reduced from 22.5 to 20 mg 3 days ago. I started running a fever between 101.8 and 99.3. Wondering if any connection. Do I need to go to gp or Rheumatologist?

My guess is that is is a coincidence and the GP would be appropriate. Don’t taper until you are better.

I’d see a general doctor because the fever could be caused by various issues, not least infection and you are on a moderate dose of Pred that will suppressing your ability to fight it. Any other symptoms though?

Sounds like you need to be seen today really. Is your bladder feeling full like you need to empty it if you press it or is the discomfort solely in the ‘pipe’? Urinary symptoms with a fever, especially in a male and on Pred needs to be dealt with and the question asked, why?

Yes - definitely sounds like a possible UTI and it needs to be seen by a doctor. Pred does make you more prone to developing them.
