2020 pilot study on benefit of alpha blockers which I wish I had known about when I had local radiotherapy
Patients receiving
prazosin
had a 3.9 times lower relative risk of biochemical relapse compared to control. Although not statistically significant, tamsulosin and
prazosin
extended recurrence free survival by 13.15 and 9.21 months respectively.

Prazosin side effect
I use
Prazosin
for possible anti-PCa effects. Alas, all is not gold that glitters.
Prazosin
is prescribed for LUTS and high blood pressure, with an effect that tends to lower diastolic more than systolic ( upper number) blood pressure.

Prazosin vs. Doxazosin for Prostate Cancer Inhibition
Recurrence free survival was also significantly higher in the

group. This remained after multivariable analysis (HR: 0.09, 95% CI: 0.04–0.26, p < 0.001). Patients receiving
prazosin
had a 3.9 times lower relative risk of biochemical relapse compared to control."

Prazosin inhibits the proliferation, migration and invasion, promotes the apoptosis of U251 and U87 cells via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.
" promotes the apoptosis of U251 and U87 cells via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway" involved in prostate cancer as well, as I recall. I am currently taking this drug. https://www.spandidos-publications.com/10.3892/etm.2020.8772

Prazosin revisited
What was left unanswered in the thread on
Prazosin
, reported on earlier by Patrick/Pjoshea 13, is the dosage and duration of
Prazosin
use to aim for if one wants to try this drug.

Any experience with Minipress/Prazosin?
I took minipress last night for the first time for my night terrors. I had extreme side effects with my blood pressure dropping too low. It was horrible. Does anyone know if it'll pass once I'm adjusted to it? I'm scared to take it tonight.
