Prazosin
What's so good about it?

It was used as a treatment for LUTS in this study not for High Blood Pressure
In that study, 147 men received prazosin, a quinazoline alpha-blocker and 72 received tamsulosin, a non-quinazoline alpha-blocker, to treat LUTS. Another 84 men naïve to treatment with alpha-blockers served as controls.
I get mine through Medicare part D, I get 90 pills for $15 or so. I have been recurrence free since I stopped Lupron + Abiraterone in January 2020, so I I think it's likely to help prevent recurrence in high risk cases.
I certainly hope you are correct. following you closely Bruce
interesting. I read the study and it does seem promising. What dosage are you taking? The study said 1-2mg of prazosin was most helpful, is that correct?
I am taking 2mg in morning and 2 mg at night.. I think the study had higher doses if my recollection is correct... (often not these days) ;-))
It was a retrospective study with 1-2 mg being used against LUTS. In an ongoing prospective study a higher dose is used. My take is at least 2 mg, perhaps 4 mg as Scout4answers is taking.Retrospective studies usually have severe limitations but for me an 83 % recurrence free survival rate for PCa patients after 10 years for prazosin users, vs 27 % for controls and zero % for users of another drug against LUTS, tamsulosin, P<0.0001, is intriguing.
i get enzalutemide from India
I like this : In this study, prazosin showed superior inhibitory effect on proliferation in human androgen-dependent and androgen-independent prostate cancer cells.
This shows it can treat both cell types.
