terazosin
My husband switched from Tamsulosin to Terazosin because someone alerted him to an article saying it may slow PD progression, and his doctors were fine with the switch. It seems to work just as well related to times up in the night so he is staying on the Terazosin.
Thanks for your response ! So he hasnt been on it long ? My husband has been using it , hard to know if it is significantly slowing progress and here it is very expensive ! So we are wondering if it is worth it or not....hard decision
Is he taking it for bladder issues? If so and it is working for that I would continue assuming alternative medications cost around the same. But I would not go on it just because it might slow PD. We are in Canada and after 65 years old most prescriptions are covered except for a small amount, so we did not have the same financial decision. Here’s the link to the article I was referring to.:

Yes he is taking it for enlarged prostate , but here the tamsulosin is very much less expensive and we would not have to pay for that at all! We are in South Africa. I have done a lot of reading on it, it s why we changed to it some years ago. Will take some more time to decide! all good wishes to you
It made me really dizzy after doing a cardio workout. I'm in my late 40's and tried it for an enlarged prostate. I stopped taking it and the dizziness went away when working out.
