Reoccurring postpartum psychosis
Hi, I just wondered if you could tell me if psychosis can return due to stress if you don't have another baby? I had my daughter in 2021 and had postpartum psychosis have fully recovered and no longer on medication since 2022. At my mental health review with my GP doctor he said that stress can bring

Olanzapine/other antipsychotics during pregnancy
Hi All, Thank you again for answering previous questions and for being so open and honest. I had another question please ❤️. Have you had a baby whilst on Olanzapine or any other antipsychotic? What mg were you on and did Baby have any withdrawals from it once they arrived? Especially those who

Recovery - Feeling worried and low
Hi there, It’s my first time on here. I suffered prepartum psychosis before my daughters arrival in November last year and spend time in an MBU. I am now approaching a year since this happened. I have recently come off olanzapine (this was tapered down over the past nearly year to a small dose of

New to group and a survivor with encouragement!
Hello all, I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I'm a 20 year survivor of postpartum psychosis in the USA. I found this group through Postpartum Support International and I'm so glad I did. I have never actually spoken to another survivor of PP until I got here, just because I've never

Olanzapine tapering
I had Postpartum psychosis two years ago after having my Son. I've been on Olanzapine for the two years. I came off once by tapering but I think I went too quickly. I'm on 7.5mg and I went to 5mg for around 3 weeks then to 2.5mg for about 3 weeks and then off. Once off I couldn't sleep, I don't know

Being confident as a mother after post partum psychosis
My husband's brother and his wife are having a baby, baby is due in May. I don't feel jealousy as such. I would feel able to admit to feeling jealous on here because I know many members have been very open about the mixture of feelings they have in their recovery and further on in the future. I am rambling

Postpartum psychosis
Hi all, hope you're well. May I please ask if anyone has had postpartum psychosis and gone on to have more Children? What was it like? Did you have support from medical professionals and if so from what point in the pregnancy? Did you get PPP again with a second, third etc? I really would like another

Ubundance of emotions
I am 10 years on from having PP. I have come so far but as a result I suffer with anxiety and depression and I battle with those and do my best. As those 10 years have passed there have been moments of flashbacks, feelings, emotions triggered at times by obvious things, other times not. A couple of

News we've all been waiting for!
Ralph's had the most amazing few days. On Tuesday he had the swallow x-ray and the speech therapist was amazed at the results. Firstly he gave him some sour tasting stuff, which Ralph insisted he tried to see how horrible it was, lol. Then he had barium mixed with water, then barium with yoghurt then

Contrast for CT Scan
I have stage 3a CKD. I had a kidney removed in 2022 due to renal cell carcinoma. I am currently having scans every 6 months. I have asked for no contrast due to my reaction to it, and the doctors has sent in the orders without contrast, however my upcoming scan is scheduled to taken with Barium contrast

90% good news
Ralph doing well and happy with progress. Last Tuesday SALT said leave cuff down for 24 hours from Thursday to Friday morning, and if that went well, leave it down all weekend unless he was in distress. Then the plan was to put in a fenestrated cuffless trachy this Wednesday coming. Best laid plans etc

Managing Pudendal Neuralgia pain
Hi all, I joined this forum to remain on top of developments around the complex pelvic floor issues affecting women and to seek support from others. In my experience these are generally poorly understood by doctors in the UK especially at consultant level and there is an absence of multi agency support

Eep tomorrow is gonna be crazy😐
Hi my fellow Fibro warriors🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗I'm at the hospital for a barium meal swallow at 8.30 am. Tomorrow. It's a 3 hr drive there and back. No meds no food and little water🤔😵. Then my foot lady will trim my toe nails and moisturise my feet. I hope my feet aren't on fire. Then I'm speaking to a Dr I've

Second baby nerves
I'm due my second baby in a couple of weeks and am trying to prepare as much as possible but as the time creeps closer it's hard not to remember/relive elements of the psychosis and depression I had with my first. All be it 4.5 years ago it's still very fresh.Wondering how other second time mums managed

JULY QUEST 2024: Week 3, how great can you be?
Hello Questers, week 3 and what a week it’s been! The high of Wednesday, the disappointment yesterday (Sunday). Like life really, we strive, sometimes we succeed and sometimes the success we strive for slips through our fingers. Our disappointment can blind us to what we had to achieve to be able to

anxiety and depression causing nausea?
How can I get a rough idea if anxiety and depression is causing my nausea and constipation? I was a heavy drinker for a few years and benzodiazepines for a year but stopped 6 months ago and that’s when I started having problems I have been suffering from nausea for 6 months and constipation for 3 months
