Oral Surgery- Pre Op Assessment
Hi, I’ve just got home from my pre op, everything went ok apart from ECG’s. I asked for a copy of the abnormal results to give to my GP to rush my my Cardiology appointment. It’s been a whole year & I’m still waiting to see them! I’ve persevered to the point of insanity, but the nurse said I need an

Could it be related to PTSD?
This is extremely personal but this community is amazing and completely supportive so here goes it. I've been doing some thinking and my life did not take a toll for the worst until October through December of 2016. During that span of time I accidentally came out to my parents who are very unsupportive

How do I go about discussing possible PTSD treatment with my PCP?
I requested a referral for a psychiatrist from my primary care physician about a month ago. There is a shortage of mental health professionals in my area, so she said it can take several months. I've been dealing with several symptoms that indicate PTSD for a little over a year now already, and have

I need support!
I signed on to this site on hopes of learning more about anxiety (PTSD) and depression disorders. I was just granted permanent guardianship of my two youngest grandchildren. A boy, 12 years old and a girl, 14 years old. They both suffer from Anxiety (PTSD) and depression. I feel so unequiped to help

Hope for treatment resistant ptsd and depression
Another Christmas passed, thank goodness. It’s a terrible time of the year for some. For me, I spend the vast majority of the time with a mask on to shield the world from the dark void that resides within my head. This mask is exhausting, draining and in no way enjoyable to wear. It is however, necessary

2 grade 3 Comas with Sepsis, pneumonia, Mrsa and kidney failure and now PTSD.
I was in 2 grade 3 (there is no grade 1 or 2, grade 3 usually ends in a vegetive state or death) Comas with Sepsis, pneumonia, Mrsa and kidney failure. I was given a 1-2% survival rate, my family were told I was going to die. It’s now 4 months since I came home and I’m slowly recovering. I’ve been left

Ptsd is a bitch
So in may I was raped. I’m just gonna put it out there. I finally built the strength to tell the police and my parents etc, and now we have a court date. The court date is slowly approaching and I’m getting super nervous. The worst part is my PTSD is kicking my ass, flashbacks constantly, nightmares

Intrusive thoughts- why do they stick?
I've recently been diagnosed with OCD, despite having no previous mental health issues in the past. My intrusive thoughts are somewhat dark and cause a great deal of anxiety, and often feelings of depression/ hopelessness. After countless research and support from my mum I was able to book a session
