Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
This is my first post. Back in 2019 I had what felt like "flutterings" and breathlessness/dizziness. I was diagnosed with arrhythmia. A 24 hour ecg showed ventricular ectopic beats. An echocardiogram showed mild valve leakages but no obvious cardiomyopathy. I was advised to stop/reduce my caffeine

MRI from 3-30-2024.
I have been on active surveillance since 2016. Recently had a jump in PSA from 6.5 to 8.29. Had an MRI on Saturday and here are the results. Any thoughts or input are greatly appreciated. Impressions --No significant interval change in appearance of the prostate, with stable size and imaging appearance

Ranazalone 375mg. Too nervous to take it.
Was admitted to hospital as passed out, paramedics found seriously low blood pressure. Eventually it was brought back to a decent level. I've been taking GTN as and when needed as gp said its a angina different in women and certainly was in my mum's case in her shoulder or shoulder blade. I've found

Good morning, hope all are as well as can be. Following on from cramps in legs to a trip to A&E.
I posted a couple of days ago about cramps in legs and feet. Well I've gone from that to taking my gtn for pain in shoulder and spots of pain in right chest to passing out and being non responsive with eyes open. My other half finally got me to come around but he'd already phoned the ambulance and they

Myocardial perfusion investigation
Has anybody had one of these tests. This is to see how the blood is flowing through the heart by speeding up the heart rate. I am concerned as I have atrial fibrilation most of the time. The beta blocker slows down the heart rate yet they seem happy for me to take my usual dose on the day of the test

Pleural Effusion
I have mets to lungs which has caused a
pleural
effusion
. In November 2022 I had a permanent indwelling
pleural
catheter fitted. District nurses come twice a week to drain the fluid. Does anyone else have one of these, if so how do you get in with it.

MRI and beta blocker
Have just got an appointment through for a cardiac MRI perfusion test. They have told me to stop the beta blocker for 48 hrs before. Is that normal? I thought we were not supposed to come off suddenly? And if the tests on Monday morning does that mean I take it on Saturday morning or not?

This is my scar at the 9 week mark after spinal fusion of 7 vertebrae. There are 2 rods and 12 screws in my back to help stabilise my vertebrae after prostate cancer caused a compression fracture. I have discontinued most of the pain medication. I dropped to a 5 microgram Norspan patch yesterday after

lab work 8 weeks post iron infusion - advice?
I had an infusion of Injectafer 750 mg on April 29 and had labs drawn exactly 8 weeks later per advice or information on this lifeline :) Now I would truly appreciate hearing some fellow RLS sufferers thoughts and advice on iron infusion and medications. I’m currently still symptomatic but much improved
