having had 3 stents and numerous tests I was hoping to be over it all now and wanting to move forward however my final test - stress echo - that the dr assured me was just for reassurance as happy everything has been dealt with has come back with the below !
This is just a letter I came across when looking at my NHS record I have had no contact from the cardiologist or my own GP regarding this
I know about he not medically trained on here but just wondering if anyone has heard of any of this or has something similar
It seems to be like either an area of my heart is damaged or not getting enough blood ! - I was told categorically that I didn’t have a heart attack
‘The patient has had a stress echocardiogram recently. The resting scan shows basal inferior hypokinesia which would be in keeping with the circumflex territory. This doesn't change with incremental stress. The stress was a combination of Dobutamine infusion and hand grips. At peak dose there were two segments of hypokinesia in the apical region. This is similar territory to that reported on the perfusion scan previously. I will arrange to review the imaging in our MDT along with the last angiogram.’

hi whilst people get on here to respond maybe a discussion with a BHF nurse on helpline may at least help with definition / explanation of what hypokinesia is / can be of the heart.
the muscle of the heart isn’t moving quite as it should.
Now, whether that would be normal for someone with your medical history or not, I just don’t know AND the writer of the report says it’s going to be brought up at a multi-disciplinary meeting.
So as fanfab says, if you ring BHF they might be able to untangle this for you.
quick update, I received a letter for an exercise test (presuming ecg) for next week ! I have had one before at the beginning of all this but don’t think I’ve ever hsd a test so quickly
I’m presuming it will be to see the effects of the above on an ecg
