An Eventful January
As I expected the scan showed that I had a
Pleural
Effusion
/Pneumonia (fluid) in both lungs and my chest cavity. Nothing unexpected, a case of monitoring for now and hopefully the fluid will clear.

Hi everyone
It’s been a long battle with diagnosis as I’ve got
pleural
/pericardial
effusion
brought on with Serositis, my stomach is currently the size of a football as it’s affecting the lining of my stomach too. Anyone else with symptoms like this?

Hi guys....a recent CT scan showed some
pleural
effusion
but nothing else...no nodes, growths or nodules, and a blood test showed no heart failure.I have to have the fluid removed on Monday and I'm bricking it already.

Pleural effusion, then oramorph od !
Went in for my 6 week consultants review after my valve replacement and bypass on Wednesday (the first appointment was originally 12 weeks, but I got an earlier one so only 5 weeks 2 days....lucky I did). I thought I was not really improving on the breathless side, turns out I had a plural effusion (

low grade ovarian cancer in the lungs
I had
pleural
effusion
for 2 years. My doctor didn't say that the cancer could get into the lungs but it did. I received 6 rounds of weekly taxol and carbo platin but it didn't work. Now my doctor wants to stop all treatment and send me to hospice care.

PSA level from 4 (Dec 2023) to 22 (present)
Hello, I am posting on behalf of my father. He tested a level of 4 PSA back in Dec 2023; the doctor did not say much except try to keep your stress level down, etc. He felt things were feeling quite abnormal so went back to doctor April this year and tested a level of 8 PSA so he was finally referred

chest pains
I had a stent in my LDA 4 years ago. Over the last 2 years I have had intermittent chest discomfort symptoms which tie up with unstable angina, although nitro spray doesn't help. 2 years ago had a myocardial perfusion scan which showed good blood flow to the heart. Still getting the discomfort, though

Angina at rest but not when exercising
Hello , does anyone else get Angina at rest when anxious/stressed, but not when exercising? If so , was there any medication/therapy that helped you? I have confirmed myocardial ischemia during a mycocardial perfusion scan , and unobstructed arteries , confirmed by an angiogram , I do have narrowing

My first post..On the 30th November last year I had a STEMI while doing a echo stress test. I was stabilised and transferred to St Bart's.
