Parkinsons and altitude
I recently spent 3 days at a location with an altitude of 578 meters which is 382 meters less than home. While there, my PD symptoms were reduced by about 80%. I slept better, had almost no tremors, walked better. When I returned home, everything returned back to previous levels. I found this on the

Lump on back after chest drain
When i developed a
pleural
effusion
last June the hospital did a couple of drains before fitting me with a semi-permanent drain. A few weeks ago I developed a lump under the skin, exactly where the hospital drains were done. This lump is growing quite quickly and is now very painful.

iron lab results 10 weeks post iron infusion
I have had four iron infusions in the last 2 years. 10 weeks ago I received Injectafer 1000 mg with so-so results. I had seen a hematologist at my neurologist/Sleep specialist’s urging out of his concern for my out of whack lab numbers. The hematologist was not concerned. I gave my sleep, specialist

Heartened to know I am not alone in the struggles caused by pramipexole
I have had RLS and PLMD as long as I can remember. I’m sure all of those nights I struggled with symptoms as a child that were brushed off as growing pains…RLS. My mom suffers mildly. Unfortunately, both of my daughters also have many challenges that began as teens. What I’ve been through is so complex

My mother's good news
She was diagnosed with OC Stage 4 in Dec, 2019 followed by surgery,
pleural
effusion
draining and 6 rounds of chemo. She has been on Olaparib since September 2020 (you can read her full story in my bio). Stay hopeful and strong and remember that you're not statistics.

Dear all, I will keep this brief so that I don't bore anyone! I am 55 yr female, and to my horror, fractured T12 out of the blue one morning two and a half years ago. Little did I think it was a fracture, so I walked and went to the gym for 4 days. This is with evolving neurological signs. Anyway,

Myocardial perfusion scan.
Hi everyone. Has anyone had one of these scans? It was mentioned at my appointment, only in the letter to my GP which arrived 2 days before the appointment letter, so I didn't have a chance to ask questions.I'm just a bit puzzled as it says I can have a "light" breakfast, but no caffeine for 12 hours

HF Going in the Right Direction

My latest Echo in March produced a 30% EF, so I was back with the HF team for a second time. Different and increased dosage meds certainly seemed to make a difference although the likes
