Overthinking
Anyway, yesterday while on stopover at Miami for over 5 hours I started to feel a little breathless and immediately convinced myself that I had a
pleural
effusion
!! I worked myself into a total panic and crept off to the restroom to have a meltdown.

Using carbonated drinks to take Sinemet.
When I was recovering from back surgery, spinal fusion to fix sciatica pain I had down both legs, I was introduced to the idea of using ginger ale when I take Sinemet. I was at Medstar Georgetown University hospital and was visited by a doctor and a few students. It seemed to work faster. On top of that

New to site and husband newly diagnosed with copd.
Said he wanted to do a breathing test to make sure the
pleural
effusion
wasn't causing breathing issues. My husband wasn't having any issues whatsoever but ok. We had an hour between the doctor appt and the breathing test. So we went and ate a big dinner.

Can't stop worrying about my mom..
My mom (Norma) was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian cancer July 2015, discovered through a
pleural
effusion
in both lungs. She went through Chemo, and then Avastin a couple months later. She was deemed NED with a CA-125 of 3 (Feb. 2016).

Hi..
So they transferred Dad from the care home to the hospital..They did a thoracic CT scan,
pleural
effusion
has tripled..he has a diuretic pump and a catheter..cardiologist stopped the anticoagulant to enable a punction in 48h but they may not do it in case the heart cannot take it..

Acupuncture
Has anyone had acupuncture for severe back pain? I have had four lumbar spinal fusions, all failed, and now steroid injection has been suggested. I am very against this for many reasons but am a big fan of acupuncture for general health. Has anyone had needles down the spine and on the operation site

Acupuncture for back pain after spinal fusions
Has anyone tried this? Had the spinal needles yesterday and it was marvellous afterwards. Today feel really awful, in pain again and very depressed. The accupuncturist is no charlatan and top class in the profession. Obviously will be needing several sessions and I believe the results are cumulative

myocardial perfusion stress test and PD
I'm scheduled to have a nuclear stress test at the end of the week. Among other things it involves an injection of a tiny dose of radioactive thallium and seeing how the heart muscle reacts. Are there any of you who have had this test and did it have an effect on your pd? Thanks, Jon

Myocardial Profusion Scan
The result of my Scan says. There is a total perfusion defect affecting 16% of the Myocardium 4 % of this is reversible and 12% is fixed and non reversible !!! Anyone know would this defect be as a result of my previous Heart Attack or just long term decline?? It would appear that the Angiogram shows

Lung scarring after pleural effusion
Hello! Around December last year I was taken into hospital with severe chest pain. I was told it was just a chest infection and sent on my way (totally embarrassed) with antibiotics. Turns out I actually had pleurisy and they missed a slight shadow on my x-ray. A few weeks later I couldn't even walk
