There is a total perfusion defect affecting 16% of the Myocardium 4 % of this is reversible and 12% is fixed and non reversible !!! Anyone know would this defect be as a result of my previous Heart Attack or just long term decline??
It would appear that the Angiogram shows "further disease in the LAD which goes on to supply a large septal and diagonal territory, so it looks like a stent. I have already had by pass surgery with the LIMA to the LAD and vein graft to the OM branch of the circumflex which are both patent !!! It really is like being on a merry go round which I can't get off.
Regards

Ive got a scan booked at some point. Can you tell me why they do the scan and what it shows (and how they tear it) I'm a bit worried as i don't know what it is for . Thnaks
If it is an MRI scan it could be under stress which just means they give you something that makes your heart look as though it is working hard so they can track the blood flow. It's not painful or anything like that, it's just a slight discomfort which passes quickly. Stress MRIs are at the cutting edge of diagnosis they give a really good picture of what's going on. Mine indicated I needed a little work on an artery which has now been fixed thanks to having the MRI. Hope it all works out for you as mine did for me.
