Hi everyone I’m back again I still have bilateral pleural effusion that consultants are struggling to get to the bottom of but the last 2 weeks the pain started in my right breast and was horrendous at times not just on breathing I also developed this horrible cough so I finally went to pleural clinic yesterday after coughing up orange mucus, they suspected a blood clot so getting a scan tomorrow but they also noticed changes on X-ray which wasn’t there before and although they’ve said no in freeman MDT to a VATS procedure the consultant said they now might have to do it as there is plural thickening and I definitely don’t have an infection. Hopefully I might be getting somewhere, I’m scared but I need to know.

I hope something positive will come of the scans and that they will be able to make you a great deal more comfortable. Crossing fingers and everything else for you. xxx
I really hope so too, I think they are as much frustrated also not being able to help. I can’t fault the consultants I see they are all so nice and are really trying to get to the bottom of this.
It's understandable that you're feeling scared, but it's good to know they're taking you seriously. All the best for your investigations and treatments. Hold on to the thought that these should make things better for you when you come out at the other end x
