Medication Induced Hypotension
I have primary open angle glaucoma. I'm presently using three medications that lower blood pressure -- an alpha blocker (Alfusosin) for prostate, an ace inhibitor (Lisinopril) for my blood pressure, and a beta blocker (Tymolol) in my eyes. My blood pressure tends to be erratic, and I am concerned about

In my case, I developed pulmonary edema,

, pneumonia, ascites, anasarca, encephalopathy/delirium, kidney failure, arrhythmias, electrolytes imbalance to name a few. Completely unrelated to my presentation. 100% caused by the treatment team.

Minor stroke May 2019
Hello, I’ve been a reader of these forums for some time so time for my little story. Had a very small stroke in May 2019. Pins and needles behind right eye. Nothing else. GP immediately sent me for ECG’s and MRI. ECG ruled out AF and MRI revealed damaged brain area. On my part I have been lucky

Ankyolosing Spondylitis and Adalimumab
I have Ankyolosing Spondylitis with a number of spinal fusions already. I started on Adalimumab at the end of April but it's not really helping. I have just had a phone appointment with the specialist nurse who told me that I can't expect to be pain free as I have a lot going on. I told her I don't

Success Rehabilitating, Transplanting Lungs using EVLP.
Surgeons at Vanderbilt University Medical Center successfully rehabilitated and transplanted a pair of lungs into a 62-year-old woman using advanced ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP). The transplant involved sending donor lungs to a laboratory in Maryland (Lung Bioengineering) for perfusion before implantation

Exercise Modulation of Tumour Perfusion and Hypoxia to Improve Radiotherapy Response
New paper below [1]. ".. recent studies reveal that exercise may also directly influence tumour physiology that could beneficially affect the response to radiotherapy." "Preclinical research has shown that exercise can reduce intratumoral hypoxia-a major limiting factor in radiotherapy-by improving tumour

New liver Mets and other results from scan
Also a large
pleural
effusion
which I have never had. Bone scan showed activity on sternum. I will go to the doctor tomorrow to determine what is next. This was not totally unexpected but I didn't expect there to me quite that many changes. I think there will be a change of meds.

MRI perfusion scan
Hello Has anyone here had an MRI perfusion scan? I have to have one on the 10th July and l’m feeling a little bit nervous about it. Especially as they inject you with a substance that supposedly makes your heart race. I also just read that you’re not supposed to have it done with ‘heart block’ well l

Plueral effusion bubbling
Does anyone with MBC
pleural
effusion
have an issue with the bubbling? I frequently feel like a bottle of champagne has exploded in my left lung. When I sleep on that side it keeps me awake for long periods but when I change sides, I don't hear or feel it.

Update to liver Mets and other issues from scan
I also have to have a thoracentesis to drain the water from my
pleural
effusion
which I'm told is not that big a deal. My doctor is hoping the mass on my abdomen will respond to the treatment. It has nothing to do with my liver Mets it's closer to the skin and involves the upper abdomen.

Spring flowers during a pandemic
It is almost painful to see the beauty of the Spring woods in the south of England at this time. We have had the most wonderful Spring in the UK while people suffer and die from this terrible disease and others have lost parents, children, partners and friends. I have been taking permitted walks to

Have others heard from the government about being classed as vulnerable because they have CLL?
He also had to have a
pleural
effusion
in July 2019. Having CLL obviously affects his immune system anyway plus he has had these pretty desperate complications. I write this as in the current awful situation with the Covid -19 virus he, like many others is obviously particularly vulnerable.

Long Term Lung Problems.
I have long term issues with my lungs, with a history of collapsed lung, pneumonia, pleurisy,
pleural

, regular chest pains, hospitalisation due to upper and lower RTI. Pain is often a debilitating factor causing difficulties in other areas.

Ascites and permanent stomach drain
I already have a drain in lung for
pleural
effusion
and feel overwhelmed. I just started Rubraca and was hoping it would decrease fluid. I also am several weeks out of the hospital due to sepsis. Wondering if all these things are related. Anyone have a permanent stomach drain?
