Lupus Nephritis - Left without treatment for a year, any suggestions?
So I quit and since then I'm only on 200mg of
Plaquenil
a day. I will be moving to the UK in September to see a proper doctor. I feel really bad and I'm wondering whether I should continue using
Plaquenil
. Has anyone with this diagnosis been without treatment for so long?

Prescribed Duloxetine and scared to take to take it. HELP!
Well I have recently stopped taking
Plaquenil
(anti malaria pills) which the rhuemy prescribed which made me feel terribly weak and ill.
Plaquenil
also can also cause depression and anxiety, so I wonder what the hell to do. I'm scared not to take them but also scared to take them.

The read that the generic brand of
Plaquenil
could be the cuase so have swapped back to the branded
Plaquenil
- been on that for 10 days now but with little change. It is better but that could be due to managing what I eat rather than the reaction going.

Do you take Plaquenil and have difficulties breathing, swollen throat and tongue?
Since starting
Plaquenil
at the end of last year, I developed what felt like swelling round my throat, restricted airways and great difficulties with breathing.

Treatment with
Plaquenil
and baby aspirin. Thyroid replacement. And yet so often missed. A common medical triad, but each with symptoms which have, it might appear, few obvious diagnostic clues.

Anyone on pramipexole for fibromyalgia?
I'm hoping
plaquenil
which I am about to start will help me better with pain and fatigue. I'd be grateful to hear of anyone elses experience but realise pramipexole isn't a well known drug for fibro.

Rash is back with a vengeance - anyone else have this reaction to MTX?
I'm going to have to come down to 10mgs apparently now I'm on Hydroxy/
Plaquenil
but my GP said I can stay at 15mgs for a few more weeks. I'm so muddled about this allergic reaction because I only started the
Plaquenil
(400mgs) on Monday so I suppose it could be to that as well?

Are there any teachers (or trainee teachers) with Lupus out there?
(I had ME when I was a teenager) The lupus affects my joints and skin and glands at the moment as I'm in a bit of a flare...I'm on Methotrexate and
plaquenil
and the MTX is really helping the joints but it's the fatigue which is the hardest thing at the moment. :)

Anyone else coping with SLE/MCTD "girdle" pain?
My joint pain has generally responded well to starting
plaquenil
400mg/daily last June: the edge has come off pain in ALL my joints, including pain my 'girdle area', with just slight flares during infections, which I've toughed out using heat and paracetamol (+ all the things I've learned to do all

Hydroxy/ Plaquenil or Leflunomide/ Arava in combination with 15mgs MTX that is the question?
Worried about my eyes with the Hydroxy - has anyone tried both at different times with MTX and if so which seemed the better combination?

Why did I bother!? Anyone from Stoke on Trent here?
I went to my doctor today because I was given quinoric after being on
plaquenil
for a month and it didn't agree with. Very upset, painfully tummy. My doctor told me he cant change the prescription to say
plaquenil
because it's down to the pharmacy and what they have in.

Plaquenil or Quinoric
I was given
plaquenil
by my rhumy but my repeat prescription from my doctors is for quinoric. I find the plaqunil ok to take I've been taking it for a month, some mild cramping but not too bad. But after a week of quinoric I have slight reflux and a dodgy tummy too.

Flare!!!!
I am on
PLaquenil
(400mg a day). For the last week or so I have felt so tired and wanted to sleep all of the time again and my body does not want to work properly, it hurts all over (joint pain).... Which is such a pain as I have had nothing since November.

Why only Sulphasalazine?
I'm sure
Plaquenil
/ Hydroxy is less toxic than Sulpha - so is it about the expense perhaps or other side effects that they anticipate for me?
