Advice needed - hypothyroid symptoms with normal TSH
Hi there, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto'sin 2007, after a TSH, t3 and t4 test. I don't remember the results for the t3 and t4 but my TSH levels were over 14. I went on synthroid 100 mcg, until 2011 when I started to get hyperthyroid symptoms on it. My resting heart rate went up to 130. My diastolic

Confused is back again
Hi I said I would update you on my progress. However, I`m sorry to say I have not got very far. Following instructions from my GP I had my second blood test yesterday having been on Metformin for 2 months. Next instruction was to make an appointment to see him again on or within a day or two of 14th

Metformin?
Is anyone here with metastatic stage 4 hormone naive (not yet castration resistant) PCa taking Metformin, in addition to ADT (Lupron or Eligard or degarelix)? If so what are your observations regarding effectiveness? Thank-you.

PSA rising. The trend is not my friend.
I'm in a pickle and would like to ask for your suggestions. The following is my PSA history. As you can see it is rising. The quandary is that those of us who have had radiation as our primary treatment still have a prostate in some form. My RO and urologist both said don't worry yet. We do get bounces

Hb1ac reading of 47 - should I ask for treatment
I have had a reading of 47 hb1ac for the last 2 years and my weight has increased by 2 stone over that period despite my diet not changing; due to a gastric bypass as I have not been able to eat sweet foods or large meals for nearly 10 years. Should I ask to start a months treatment of metformin. I

Is Metformin safe for liver with early stage cirrhosis
Hello again,everyone..Just a quick question..I was on Metformin (1000 mgx1 slow release/day) but had to stop for CAT scan and Liver biopsy..I have not recommenced and my GP was OK with that. My Type 2 diabetes seems to be under control..I am not due to see the specialist for a few months to ask him.

New here do you take Metformin and had no side effects?
I’m sensitive to medications but am considering taking Metformin... and was wondering how many have had a good experience with this medication? I’m type 2.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?
I am a 28 year old female and I reside in the US. I have been diagnosed as having stage 3 ckd as my creatinine levels are now up to 1.6 pushing my gfr to 45. Ultrasound was clear other than a small, simple cyst that was first found on a CT over a year ago and it hasn't changed in size. My 24 hour urine

STAMPEDE TRIAL K ARM METFORMIN PARTICIPANTS
The K Arm of the STAMPEDE TRIAL is looking at the effect on PSA, if any, of adding Metformin to ADT in non-diabetic PC men. I have seen a few posts on here from people who are taking part in that trial where the PSA seems to be coming / staying down, but I was wondering if there are a number of participants

Hallo, I am in constant AF and am on a great number of meds to help control it; these include: apixoban, digoxin, atorvastatin, ramipril, verapimil, metformin (diabetes) and levothyroxine (underactive thyroid). I am 76 years old next month and, based on hearsay and advice, decided against cardioversion
