Hi girl from wordsley
I take 2000mg of metformin a day. I also have high blood pressure but have had for years before metformin. I have in the past also had lightheadedness when standing but I thought (I have zero medical knowledge!) that that was caused by low blood pressure....
Metformin gives me no side effects at all.
Have you told your doctor? If not I think you should tbh.
Best of luck 👍

Issues with raised blood pressure are common as part of metabolic syndrome and not metformin use. mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...
I have been on Metformin for 11 years and have had no issues with blood pressure or dizziness but some medications affect people differently. I do know that you should not mess with blood pressure issues and urge you to contact your doctor ASAP and let him know what is going on.
I have been alright on the dose I'm on, maybe your on too much may need reducing ask your doctor or nurse I started on 2 tablets a day for 2 weeks then they uped my dose to 3 tablets I've been ok on this dose no side effects.
