Oeosophageal stent at GOJ -serious pain and inability to eat
Hi everyone After having battled my tumour back with 6 rounds of FLOT last year it unfortunately came back with a bit of a vengeance with some peritoneal metastases which have caused fecal impaction and bilateral effusions. Delays in getting theses symptoms treated resulted in me losing even more weight

Does being called for a flu jab every year (aged 62) make me an "at greater risk" person?
Hi. Can someone please help. It concerns the "Underlying health conditions"thing. Every year my GP summons me for a flu jab. I am 62 years old and had CBGs, a Stent, an Aortic valve repair and repairs to my rising Aorta following an Aortic Dissection. My question is am I a person with an underlying

Not sure
I had a heart attack 2 years ago and 1 stent. No other issues since. I have 3 children that r in school. I work as a deputy manager for a domicillary care company and regularly visit my service users. We have no confirmed cases of Corona virus yet but should I be worried? The general attitude is we must

Allotment escape
Hi, I had a stent put in last year, I've had pneumonia in the past, but I got an allotment, do I have to self isolate for 3 months do you think? cos I'll have to get all my spuds planted in a couple of days, the only obstacle to going to the allotment is the gate, I'm not anywhere near other people,

Getting back up again, sometimes it’s an effort
So last week I had 4 more Stents fitted, giving me a total of 15. 6 years ago I had a quad CABG, been living with heart issues for 20yrs. I’d finally got myself fit again, sub 30 min Parkrun, 50k trail run completed last year and managing to go running for long distances. Didn’t expect to have another

Should I self isolate?
I have seropositive RA, Bronchiectasis and heart disease. My lungs are already inflamed most of the time and sats are 93 at best. I live alone, but there is a connecting door to my daughter, son in law and grandson(21) They all work and so are out and about. Also, in the Mall where they work a colleague

Anyone had LAD stents?
My husband has a long lesion in his proximal LAD and possibly a small lesion in his RCA and is on a waiting list for a stent or two, he’s type 1 diabetic and I’m worried about how effective stents are long term, and the impact on our future of his heart disease. Can anyone help reassure me as I feel

Weight reduction with angina
Im a 65 year old female and had a RCA stent fitted in 2013. I can walk on the flat over a fair distance but uphill is another story mostly resulting in an angina attack. I rarely use my spray as it gives me an headache and I can manage with just resting. I admit I don’t walk everyday? I’m 2 weeks into

Hi everyone. I’m new here and wish to share my story and hopefully someone can give me some advice. My dad is 80 and is currently in the process of being tested for dementia. He’s had the memory test and last week had an MRI on his head and then i believe an occupational therapist is coming to visit

Slow heart rate
Has anyone suddenly had a slow heart rate? I had cabg x 4 in April 2019- been well since but my resting heart rate now 54ish. NHS website says +60 should be norm. Docs have reduced bisoprolol but not making any difference. Feel tired with it.

Painkillers post CABG
Hi. At 16 weeks post CABG am still finding I need to take 6-8 paracetamol a day for chest pain and upper body aches and pains. Is this the norm to other people's experiences? Thanks
