I had a heart attack 2 years ago and 1 stent. No other issues since. I have 3 children that r in school. I work as a deputy manager for a domicillary care company and regularly visit my service users. We have no confirmed cases of Corona virus yet but should I be worried? The general attitude is we must carry on and put service users first but I'm worried xxx

I don't think anyone can advise you except to say keep your distance, wear disposable gloves and wash wash wash. I have a 78 yr old friend who works as a carer and she's been given no advice at all. Her clients rely on her for their medication, washing themselves and food. WIthout her several could die yet she's just recovered from a severe chest infection and has a husband with an extremely bad heart condition. It's anightmare.
Hi, I’m in a similar position, heart attack a few years ago, 1 stent, 3 children at school, one who has a friend who’s family are now self isolating because the mum has symptoms. I also had pneumonia after getting swine flu when that was doing the rounds.
I am reasonably fit and healthy, and as my HA was a one off event that was “fixed” by the stent rather than an ongoing heart problem I’m really not sure how far to go with taking precautions. I’m very reluctant to go as far as taking the kids out of school until there’s no choice but at the same time if I’m going to get CV it’ll most likely be from them.
I’m just grateful that we got abit paranoid about brexit and stocked up on lots of stuff then, so at least I don’t have to do any hellish trips to the supermarket now.
I’m like you, had a stent fitted a year ago after angina. Do I have a chronic heart condition? I don’t know, 2 kids in school and I’m 46. Should I self isolate? I’m self employed as well. Financially, self isolating means financial ruin.
