Has anyone suddenly had a slow heart rate? I had cabg x 4 in April 2019- been well since but my resting heart rate now 54ish. NHS website says +60 should be norm. Docs have reduced bisoprolol but not making any difference. Feel tired with it.

Hi, I have a low heart rate, normally in the 50s, often in the 40s. Recently it's been in the 30s, I'm wearing a 24 hour monitor right now to check that one out! I'd recently upped my bisoprolol to 7.5mg trying to get to 10mg to manage ectopic beats. It looks like I may have to drop back down on bisoprolol. Bisoprolol will slow your heart rate but a heart rate of 54 sounds very reasonable to me. Bisoprolol can also cause tiredness, I know it does for me.
