Ranexa
I’ve been taking Ranexa. 8 months after a triple bypass I had an “episode” had my grafts checked out all ok. It seems I have a fourth artery that really required bypass or stent but it was decided it was too thin for work. Decided to use meds instead hence Ranexa. Up to the episode I felt great. Travelled

Bypass or not?
I am 78. I first noticed I had Angina 10 years ago. An angiogram showed two totally blocked arteries and the third struggling. It was not possible to stent them. The angina almost went away completely when I was put on Ranexa. Since then I have been diagnosed with CHF somewhere between stage 2 and

Safe to take supplements?
Hi, With all the meds I'm taking in first year after triple CABG is it safe to take supplements (namely Vitamin D / zinc in winter months)? Or will I be overwhelming my liver? Thanks

Sternum Clicking post CABG
I am experiencing Sternum Clicking post CABG. Now 4 weeks since surgery and I’ve had minor clicking for about 2-weeks. Like 4-6 clicks or pops per day, mostly later in the day when I’m tired. Have you experienced this and how long does it take to heal? Thanks so much. It’s a bit disturbing 🙃

Regular episodes of unstable angina
Hi, I had an MI in 2018 which required a stent; up until a few months ago things were pretty good however since April I have had to attend a/e for chest pains and told it is unstable angina. My ecg, bloods and another angiogram do not show a new heart attack (which I am really pleased with) but I am

Unstable angina
After having a stent fitted in the LAD artery 6 months ago and feeling really well, I now have a slightly uncomfortable tightness in my chest. It’s there most of the time, definitely not the pain of angina, just an awareness. Anyone else had this ?

My heart journey post op
Hi all, Well I survived! I have to say that the operation was the easy bit, a ride down to the theatre , anaesthetic applied and the next thing you know is smiley faces waking you up saying it was all over 😊 Lots of tubes wires etc and CCU was a challenge due to constant sickness unfortunately 😱 I

Low Bp after running
Hi folks, Haven’t posted here for a while, just getting on with life and navigating the strange journey we’ve all been on over the last 12 months. Massive HA 2 years ago, single stent, significant scarring leading to EF 34% on last MRI in Jan 2020. Haven’t had a scan since, but taking Entresto, Eplerenone

4 weeks post cabg and back in hospital.
Hi everyone it's been 4 weeks since my double bypass. I've been having breathing issues and yesterday Dr's asked me to go to hospital as fluid on my left lung. Dr's have just done ward rounds and my left lung is full of fluid. I could either have a needle put in but it would only drain 1 1/2 litres so

Is 5:2 diet suitable for me?
Hello guys, Had a heart attack and triple CABG 8 months ago. Is a 5:2 diet / lifestyle suitable for me right now or ever? 5:2 being, for 2 days of the week cut calorie intake to 600 (500 for women). Is there a minimum intake I need to maintain every day for optimum heart health? Thanks

Stent
Hi all, I am 68 year old woman. I had a stent fitted in LAD 25-05. Experienced a lot of discomfort, went back into A&E bloods done. ECG, Scan etc. All fine. Still getting discomfort now. Freaking me out. Is this normal!

Scared!
Over the last year I have been getting palpitations and feeling out of breath more easily than I think I should for my age - I am only 49. In recent months I've noticed a tightness in my chest when I walk for more than 10 minutes walk quick, up hills or up and down stairs too much or too quick running

Pelvic lymph node pathology is in.....
My MO called today and told me: "The biopsy/pathology folks at first were confused, they thought for sure is was metastatic PC. But they finally agreed it was either bladder cancer or rectal cancer, which by the way, was probably caused by the 37 doses of radiation after RP." So now its surgery through
