Allergic to meds
I’ve had AF for 8 years. My meds have been Eliquis, aspirin, Amioderone and Nebivolol. 6 years on Amioderone and 6 months on Nebivolol. I recently became severely short of breath. This resulted in two visits to the hospital where on the first visit I was told (after all tests came back negative) that

Wondering ...
My last afib attack was approximately seven months ago. I feel exceedingly fit and strong. I had a cardio version and was put on a blood thinner. Eliquis. I feel as though my afib has gone bye bye. Query. Is it possible that blood thinners somewhat PREVENT afib? Or is it possible that a cardio

How do you take your peppermint oil?
Hi everyone. I’ve had IBS d/c, aggravated by world beating piles, for about twenty years, diagnosed by my GP. I can’t find any specific food trigger except coffee & chocolate 🙁 After a flare up this week (hot weather?) I’ve started a course of Colpermin. Trouble I’m having is fitting in the three doses

Problems with taking blood thinners
I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation about 3 weeks ago after over 3 years visiting endless doctors and specialists with a range of diagnoses. My specialist put me on Eliquis 2 weeks ago, but the side effects were horrendous. I had constant pain and aches throughout my body, especially in my shoulders

Bismuth toxicity
Hello all. I have Bismuth toxicity (off the charts) and I think it may be contributing to my PD symptoms. I do NOT take Pepto Bismol or any other stomach medicines ever. I do not have and never have had issues with digestion/bowels/etc. I take no medicines and my supplements are when I remember to

Pacemaker & daily meds for AFib, what can I expect?
I am interested to hear from anyone with experience about having a pacemaker installed and then daily AFib medications - I think I will be given something called Flecainide. As my HR falls into the 30's and 40's I can't take anything daily, the pacemaker will address that. Right now I have AFib attacks

AF and Pancreatic lesions increase need for anticoaggulants
Hi all I’m to have my second ablation procedure next month due to recurring SVT and longer bouts of AF. My new Kardia 6l arrived just in time to provide proof to my EP! My worry is I may also need to have part of my pancreas removed due to slow growth of suspect lesions and a family history of cancer

14 Months Success Story (so far).
I decided to share my story of AF and hope it is helpful to others. I am a 75 yr old male living in central Florida. I inherited the AF from my mothers side of the family. My mother, one of her sisters, one of my brothers and one of my sons all have AF. I had 5 AF events starting in my late

Magnesium when you are also taking Flecainide
I want to add Magnesium to my medication routine as have sleep problems since I have Restless Legs. I take Flecainide and Eliquis together at 9:am and 9:pm, can you also take magnesium with those drugs at the 9:pm dosage? Don’t want to take too many things together if it’s bad. Thanks

Drug interaction with supplements
Good morning, I am currently taking bisoprolol and Eliquis (2 years now) and am considering taking a supplement for digestive issues. This supplement contains beetroot and pomegranate, and I am wondering if this could potentially react with the anti coagulant? Any advice would be helpful please.

Hello, I'm New Here.
Hi. I've just joined here. I had my pulmonary emboli in August 2018 and was firmly diagnosed with APL about a year ago. I take Eliquis and haven't had any issues with it or my APL since the p.e. I have a question about the memory trouble that's cited as a problem for our syndrome. Is it long-term memory

Hip inj while on Eliquis
I’m going to have a cortisone inj in my hip and I’m on Eliquis, for Afib they said I should continue to take it as directed, have any of you had an experience with inj in hip while on a blood thinner, how did it go?

Pain medication when taking Flecainide
I just started Flecainide and Eliquis for AFib and have a question. I have really painful arthritis and sometime take a half of a Vicodin at night for the pain that keeps me awake. Never take anything in daytime but hard to sleep when you are constantly moving trying to get easy. I know you can’t

Eliquis vs. NSAIDs
Ive had AF for many years and am considered “chronic”. I also have arthritis sporting bilateral knee replacements 12 years ago and a hip replacement. I take hydrocodone for pain. I take Eliquis for my anticoagulant and have been advised never to take an NSAID (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.), which is what
