UTI

3:00 am and I'm sure I now have a urinary tract infection. Found out I have Afib month and a half ago. Drinking water all the time cause afib and metoprolol cause frequent urination. I also have a problem with yeast overgrowth and have had uti caused by yeast off and on through the years. I've always cleared it up with my herbs. No problem. Now being on Eliquis and metoprolol I don't know if I can do that. Too many Drs don't get that you can get a UTI from yeast overgrowth. I've been trying to be so careful. Blood pressure up because of it. What to do. Having something like Afib and the meds throw everything off kilter.

If you have a UTI you really should see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis and treatment

False alarm. Realize it's side effect of the metoprolol. Frequent urination.

I sympathise as I too have a UTI at the moment. Contacted my GP and had to take a water sample to the surgery and have been prescribed antibiotics.

I hope that you were not prescribed Cipro or Fluoroquinolone antibiotics as both can have long term side effects and should not now be prescribed for UTI's

No I have been prescribed Nitrofurantoin. On fourth day of them and so far no improvement.
