Is it safe to have Shingles jab?
Hi everyone, have now been off Pred for six months after having Pmr for nearly seven years. I have been offered a shingles jab, but am reluctant to have it in case my immune system is still low, or it causes pmr to rear it's ugly head again Could I have advice please. Thank you, Jenny x

Help with Pudendal Nerve Neuralgia
Pudendal neuralgia. Hi, can you help or share? It seems that I have problems with my pudendal nerve and this roaming, changing pain is not good as some will know. I have a good physio and will investigate but I wonder what others have done with this. Physio thinks PD is most likely and it fits with

Do TENS machines work?
I’ve seen a few people mention tens machines for pain relief. Do they work and is there a specific one to get? I know boots sell them so if I can get that one I can snag myself some extra boots points😋

Shingles vaccine
I'm booked to have a Shingles jab shortly. Has anyone had this while on Prednisolone? Were you okay? Any side effects.

Has anyone been in so much pain that they find it distressing?
I'm having a really bad endometriosis flare up at the moment and the pain is becoming so severe that I'm getting distressed. I've taken pain meds, I've got a tens machine on, I've used aromatherapy and haven't done much today but the pain is still unbearable. Has anyone else experienced this? And if

Hello from me
I haven’t been in the board for quite a while. Have been stable on the usual drug cocktail + azathioprine for MCI. Unfortunately I can feel that things are deteriorating with extreme fatigue after 4pm each day, persistent headaches no longer reduced by occipital nerve block, and memory again problematic

Tens machines RSL
Back on the RSL with the talk of tens machines for pain I wonder if you could use one on your head to try and scramble the signals as when it’s bad I go under the shower as hot as pos and as forceful it helps quite a lot but staying in there all night isn’t fun always think it’s just my brain not wired

Tens machine
Do any of you lovely people use TENS machines to help with their RA? Are they any good? Googling suggests you talk to a physio and perhaps try one out, but the chances of talking to a physio are rather remote at present.

TENS machine to manage period/miscarriage cramping
A little tip that has been a life changer for me and that I wanted to share to all ladies out there: I suffer from terrible period cramps that incapacitate me for a couple of days each month and that I felt I had to over-medicate myself to get to a tolerable enough level (= in a half comatose state in

tVNS Vagal nerve stimulation
I know tVNS has been discussed in the past and I thought it would be worth while to let you know my husbands experience of this. As as a retired nurse I found the research on this really interesting. I suggested to my husband that this was worth trying in an attempt to reduce his horrible episodes of

Tens machine advice
Hi! I've just got myself a tens machine and I absolutely love it. Just wondering if I can get some tips for getting the best put of it from people who have been using it longer? Any tips or tricks would be welcome 😁 I'm still figuring it all out!
