Mostew,

How about doing this as nature intended? Singing, Gargling, Humming, Deep breathing, Mindfulness, Meditation? And it’s all free 😀

Excellent answer . I agree . Doing all by first two. But from a n ( occasionally ) lazy view I fancied letting something else help while I lie there ... !!!

Like having a massage to indulge ....

You have made me smile xx

Honestly, coming from a person who never liked meditation I’m now finding that using the Calm app is so addictive.

The other thing that people don’t realise that this is a whole body experience that starts with the brain. If you don’t initiate it with intention from the brain it simply won’t have the same effect. A lot of chronic disease is due to our poor lifestyle choices and our inability to handle stress. Rewire the brain and thinking, change your habits, even if slowly, only those things will have a long lasting and significant effect. There are so many other tools to naturally challenge our thoughts, organise ourselves and manage stress.

Why would you simply want to activate your vagus nerve and deprive yourself of the joy of allowing your brain to feel relaxed? That’s one of the major reasons.

I DONT !!

Been meditating for many years ,daily . An ing hour in morning . 10day silent retreats etc.

I agree. Good food , supplements ... are no use unless we sort out our reaction to the ups and downs of life

working through past ‘stuff’ can take many years .. A journey worth being on..

Sounds like you are on the right track .

Forgive my indulgence !!! X

I’m sure you’re doing just fine then. Nobody is judging you, dictating what you should do. Certainly not me. However just wondered if you’d tried so many other things before giving something like this a go which is really for those people who cannot do this manually.

No offence intended. Sorry I even said anything.

Oh none taken

. I love a good debate .

Didn’t cross my mind you were judging me.. not trying other things . Doing.

As I said it’s sometimes nice to indulge .

The middle way as the Buddha said .

I have been trying that for the past 2 weeks. I was recently diagnosed with Autonomic neuropathy , a condition that has stemmed from vagus nerve disorder. The TENS + Ear clip has helped my heart rate to return to normal. I do it everyday for 15 mins in the Tragus part of my right ear. In addition to this, I also do deep breathing + meditation.

So pleased to hear you are finding benefits. I’m using for constipation , so left ear . About a week and a half now and think it’s working , stools softer.

I’m enjoying using it to my surprise

Coming in late here but I was recommended to do this by a neurogastroenterologist for motility/constipation issues. I have a number of other chronic health conditions - hEDS, POTs, pandysautonomia too. I bought a Parasym and have been using it for just over 2 weeks now. I was previously very weak but slowly that is improving. How are you getting on with it now please?
