What is more important? Peak flow readings or asthma symptoms, not severe ones.
I am baffled, and I hope someone out there could explain. Recently I had a run-in with an inscence stick. It really didn't agree with me, and the day after the encounter I woke up feeling I was getting a chest infection. I wasn't and very gradually the asthma sensations/symptoms wore off, over nearly

I got a peak flow meter and I just keep using it because I'm worried I'm writing down results and stuff but is it normal for it to change all the time? Please tell me it's okay too,it's in the 300's

Peak Flow reading!
Does anyone know what our ideal (normal) peak flow reading should be. I've had mine done and was wondering if it's good or not so good. I usually ask but my Doctor was asking me other things and it side tracked me...thanks Andrea :) x

Crying after high anxiety day
Hi everyone, I have had OCD for many years (but it was livable), but now it has become quite bad. Especially the thoughts. So, I took an A Vogel passiflora complex forte today (with lemon balm, valerian and passionflower) and felt quite calm afterwards. But know I feel like I just want to cry, and

I was diagnosed with asthma as a child, it was never really bad, I had a couple of attacks as a teenager but nothing major. I'm 25 now and haven't had an inhaler or anything for over 10 years I thought my asthma had just gone away. About a month ago a developed a cough, went to my GP when it didn't

Tight chest
I had a bit of an exacerbation this afternoon whilst using wood restorer. I have fairly recently been put on the SMART regime and so took a dose of Symbicort then another 5 minutes later. The coughing and wheezing seems to have gone and my peak flow is not much lower than normal but I still feel quite

Delayed reaction?
This may seem like a silly question, but is it possible to have a delayed reaction to a trigger? I was at work a couple of days ago where a really strong chemical was being used to clean the floors- it irritated my chest at the time, but I only started coughing the next day and my peak flow has dropped

Hi Health Unlocked Community The last time I wrote on here I had been taking some antibiotics for a mild chest infection. The antibiotics helped with the increased doseage of Ventolin 5 puffs 4 times a day plus Symbicort 2 puffs morning and evening but I'd still not recovered properly and found walking

Can peak flow be increased
My peak flow has been around 320 for the last 20 years. My asthma however still remains uncontrolled. My doctor has suggested that I try another inhaler as well as 2 puffs twice a day of the Flutiform 250/10. He seems to think that there is a chance that this additional inhaler may improve my peak flow

Running with Asthma.. How do YOU do it?!
I've read on hear how some of you run with Asthma, I've seen some folks in the Park Run use their inhalers. My question is How??? How in the world do you do it? For about 5 weeks I've felt a tightness in my chest and finally went to the Doc today. She told me it was most likely I have a bronchial irritation
