What Helps You Stay Awake During Daytime
My husband has stage 4 CRPC and has a fib so he cannot drink caffeinated coffee so how does he stay awake during the day? This is especially embarrassing during church. Any suggestions that have worked for others are appreciated.

Vitamin A,D,E,K deficiency..
After gall bladder surgery my Doctors in India recommended no vitamin supplements . Read somewhere about possible fat soluble Vitamin deficiency after gall bladder removal. Is it safe to take Vitamin D with Vit K2 as MK7 as a supplement ?. Is it true that Vitamin D , if taken alone would cause Calcium

Guilty or not ???
Today, after a few days of increasing pain in my neck, started on left side on Wednesday this morning also right side, I have taken extra 5mg Pred without consulting my GP who has previously indicated he was happy for me to manage my medication. For about 4 weeks now I have managed with 6mg Pred, so

Post Ablation Diagnosis
I have been very fortunate and had my Afib ablation in Leicester in May. I had excellent treatment with very minimal side effects from the procedure and am back doing exercise and best of all, no episodes of Afib - so all very positive even though it is very early days. My follow up appointment is in

Thyroid Blood Test Results
Hi all, I finally managed to get a copy of my thyroid blood test results but there is so little information on there that I’m unsure of what I should do next. I’ve posted before but my situation is that I had a partial thyroidectomy back in July 2022 and I’ve been getting symptoms such as tiredness

Sleep and Afib
As predicted my occasional episodes of A Fib which began in 2007 has recently become more of a problem. They are now presenting differently tho. My resting heart beat is about 60bpm and whilst in Afib they are now usually 60 to 75, only rising further when I am moving about. My question is can anyone

AF - Sudden Increase To Every Night
I occasionally get a very slight twinge or spasm in my heart during some mild exertion - a gentle bike ride or lifting the hoover for example. This often kicks off an AF bout the following night. I had the twinge thing on a ride a couple of weeks ago which caused an 11 hour bout of AF, and since then

Blood pressure warning
More fun and frolics. Before I went to pamper myself in Montenegro (swimming in the sea, lounging on the Cabana) I checked my blood pressure which I do regularly and noticed a little warning sign like a heart next to my diastolic. The literature said to seek advice so I asked him in doors and he casually

Smart watch blood pressure function
I love the ECG function on my Galaxy watch and the blood pressure until I noticed the instruction not to use if on meds etc. I don't understand why it's safe for Afib but not for BP. Can anyone explain please?

afib related to drop in blood pressure
last week I had an extreme drop in blood pressure 87/50 and was unable to stand up or even sit up. Was taken to the hospital. Diagnosed with pneumonia and told that infection can sometimes cause drop in blood pressure particularly because of my a fib. It seems that because the lungs are so closely

Actual appointment face to face with an actual human!
After being sent to A&E last November by GP, diagnosed with AF and discharged with meds, then an echocardiogram beginning of March, I have an actual appointment booked with an arrythmia nurse end of July! Still a little bit in shock that I'll get to talk to someone! Came about because my GP wanted to

Now need a stent or bypass
I posted on here a bit ago that I have been tired and out of breath ever since my 5th ablation last August. My cardiologist put it down to the Bisoporol I was taking but 3 months ago after seeing him and complaining he sent me for a ultrasound scan. All was OK then I wrote to him saying I am not

Permanent AF, decision to do nothing
I’m have AF constantly since months, maybe years. My heart rate is normally in range (70/80) and I don’t have any symptoms. I conducted an active and fulfilling life. I went to the cardiologist for the first visit and he left me the 2 options: 1. Do nothing and go on with your normal life 2. Try cardioversion

Ibrance plus letrozole working
I’ve been taking Ibrance 75 mg two weeks on two weeks off for 3 1/2 years Took a while to get the Ibrance balance. I take letrozole daily. Scans taken every 4 months have shown no progression. I had a double mastectomy and bone lesions on my spine. I followed Joe Tippens protocol for 2 years. I did

Taking Flecainide with Bisoprolol
When I was first diagnosed with AF a few years ago I was told to use the "pill in the pocket" approach to terminate an episode by using bisoprolol and flecainide - the flecainide 20 minutes after the bisoprolol. Now, for the last year I've been on bisoprolol 1.25mg daily and just take the occasional

Ativan for anxiety
Since being diagnosed I have had near panic experiences and great waves of anxiety. Some of the meds are stressful on the body and I found that
Ativan 0.5 MG
worked for me when needed. I heard that it is very addictive. I wonder
how many of you manage your anxiety
? Thank you so much,

Alternative to Anticoagulation?
This is very new and exciting. Just a case history for now, but apparently they have done a Left Atrial Appendage (LAA)Closure during an RF catheter ablation procedure, guided by 3D printing technology! As many of you know, there now exist several devices like Watchman and Amulet that are inserted
