I had
pain
and went to the hospital, but my surgery wasn’t emergency. I was scheduled about two weeks later for the appendectomy. For the last few days I’ve been suffering very bad constipation haven’t felt great for a week or two.

Has anyone found antidepressants help with the pain?
I only really have paracetamol, hot water bottles and tramadol when
pain
is severe (which then keeps me awake). I've read that antidepressants can help with the
pain
and oestrogen levels. Is anyone on antidepressants? Are they helping?

How to escape Augmentation?
I only learnt about Health Unlocked and its efforts on RLS through RLS -UK and this is my first post. I have suffered from RLS for several years and various doctors have prescribed all the general medicines starting with antidepressants (amitriptyline, mirtazapine, imipramine, and citralopram), dopramine

Pain ongoing
I think I struggle to talk to others as I look perfectly normal but inside I'm in so much
pain
and just trying to push through. I know so many people go through worse in this world and then I feel guilty for speaking about it in the first place.

Painful legs at night
Over the past five nights I've been kept awake by experiencing
pain
in my legs on three of the nights for no reason. The
pain
subsides fairly quickly once I'm up and about.

Treatment for bone pain?
A friend of mine is experiencing severe bone
pain
from advanced prostate cancer. His MO is prescribing morphine ( tablets). He says it does help. But I was wondering if there are other medications that can be used for the
pain
? He is currently on Lupron + aberaterone.

Prescribed Alendronic Acid and Lansaprozal at start of treatment. Are they necessary?
Stiffness and general
pain
considerably reduced, but persistent
pain
from frozen shoulder. Sleeping much better, feel tired but have pulled back on activity and allowing plenty of rest time. Started a low carb diet, take Pred after breakfast of eggs ( veg omlette) and full fat Greek yoghurt.

Hip pain
It’s hard to pinpoint where the
pain
is - it’s generally achey but with horrid flashes of bad
pain
and quite spasmy especially in bed and getting up.

The
pain
radiates from the top of my ear and I am sure that is where the problem lies. I am now stuck because I won't have the scan but have found that taking just one prednisolone really does help the pressure and reduces the
pain
, the doctor won't prescribe these for me and I am now out of them.

STUCK IN A PRED RUT
Since then I have managed to reduce from 20mg with
pain
and flares to 7mg. I am having nose bleeds and the ENT Consultant has told me to ‘get off’ the steroids. I have for the last 10 days 1/4mg daily reduction. It has been agony.
