What *should* happen now?
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read - I had a cardiac device (ICD, like a
pacemaker
) fitted in 2017 and since then, my health has graduallydeclined (physically and cognitively).

Second ablation
I can not take anticoagulants so I have had Watchman device,
pacemaker
, and a first ablation. It was very successful for several years. I am considering a "touch up" ablation as I would like to get rid of the propafenone, but I havent made that decision.

New here with diagnosed heart failure
I did ask my consultant at my appointment the other day what my life expectancy was, as he said I am stage 2 and he said with the meds im on, or whether i have
pacemaker
or anything fitted later, he has seen people live up to 20 years which was a bit of a shock as I would only live to be about 60 if

Having just been told i have one ,and given an urgent referral to cardiology, I'm wondering if i need to interrogate them about 30 months on pred for PMR ( fairly low doses) before they insert a
pacemaker

People of HU: Meet Marina
During the summer of 2020, I had two cardioversions (a procedure used to return an abnormal heartbeat to a normal rhythm), and in August, I got a
pacemaker
(a battery-powered device that sends electrical impulses so my heart can maintain a regular heartbeat).

Peak flow readings
Hi , my gp requested 2 weeks of peak flow readings (since having a
pacemaker
then becoming seriously unwell with pericarditis and an effusion this time last year) I get out of breath on exertion , my cardiologist has assured me there’s nothing cardiac causing my breathlessness so gp is thinking possible
