Are Pool and Sauna dangerous with ICD?
I am 59 with paroxymal afib with a
pacemaker
/ICD. For the last 3 months, I had been using saunas. However, this week as I suffered covid, I took a hot bath. I got shocked multiple times by my ICD. Now, I definitely will stay away from saunas!

ADHD Clutter vs. Hoarding
Bad side effects, and now with a
pacemaker
, it's just not possible. If I had it my way, we'd move to a smaller apartment where the property maintenance is done by the owners. But I looked this past week, and the cheapest 2BR are $500 more than we pay here!

Blood oxygen level while asleep
I do have a
pacemaker
, I’m waiting on an exercise stress test as I get short of breath and tight painful chest just walking around the house . Is this oxygen level normal or ok when you’re asleep ?

Cordless Razors
Hi Folks, I received my
pacemaker
last week. After a couple of days I decided to shave. I use a Braun series 7 cordless rechargeable razor. As soon as I turned it on and started to shave my
pacemaker
went mad. I spoke with my EP who said not to use it any more.

ECG help
Just for background I already have a dual chamber
pacemaker
implanted due to severe sinus bradycardia. However the paroxysmal AF has not got any better with medication hence the ablation being done shortly.

I am Coeliac around 2010 I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and Essential Thrombocythemia; since then I have progressed to permanent AF with a
Pacemaker
safety net to keep my Heart Rate up to acceptable levels, Beta Blockers have depressed my Blood Pressure, and following a TIA in 2019 I am on

I have a history of total collapse and this has continued after having a
pacemaker
fitted so i now havr an ILR as well. I used the device yesterday because i felt lightheaded (not dizzy), was short of breath and had intermittent nausea, which lasted a few hours.

Pacemakers and Detection of AF
After a few extended periods of arrhythmia while in Spain recently the first thing I did on my return was to send a download of my
pacemaker
to the arrhythmia nurses at the BHI.

Supplements for arthritis and rivaoxaban
Hi all My husband has paroxysmal AF and a
pacemaker
takes digoxin and Rivaoxaban. He has slight arthritis in both knees(too much playing hockey in his younger days!) and not bad enough to take painkillers all the time. Bothers him the most after sitting for a while and then moving again.

Left sided breast pain . Costochondritis or heart ?
I have a
pacemaker
on my left side so I don’t know if it’s caused by costo or if it’s from my
pacemaker
. At times the pain feels as if it’s from my heart , it shoots up from below my breast and feels quite deep inside behind breast and goes to heart area .

NSR...out of the blue!!
The plan was to switch from rhythm control to rate control meds, to go on heart failure meds (EF 43% on mri/ 53% on echo) and hope that this will hold things a few years with the probability of a
pacemaker
after that.

My First Pacemaker Followup
Today was my first real follow up with my EP since the fitting of my
pacemaker
and AV node ablation done on February 13 and 27th. I have not been feeling 100% although much much better than before all of this.

Post Pace and Ablate now diagnosed with Heart Failure
Eventually had an EKG …which showed I had
Pacemaker
Syndrome…the top half of the heart was in sinus Rythm but bottom half not…unusual apparently…I thought great we have an answer as to breathless which was now pretty constant and awful fatigue.

Digoxin Advice
I am on a few different drugs including bisoprolil/perindipril & Apixaban for dilated cardiomyopathy and then I got AF, a cardioversion didnt work and the cardiologist said I was heading for a
pacemaker
but he wanted to try Digoxin which has worked great for years.

Perhaps I wouldn't mind so much if I considered myself to be ill, but my heart failure was treated by an ablation and
pacemaker
and I don't feel at all restricted in my day-to-day life.
