Pacemaker protection: any suggestion?
I have taken on bouldering/rock climbing about 10 months ago and now that I am progressing and starting doing more challenging moves, I am sometimes scared to hit my chest in the
pacemaker
area and was researching for a
pacemaker
protection/shield to wear when training/exercising.

Rehab after pacemaker fitted?
I'm likely to have a
pacemaker
fitted in the next few months. Was wondering if I have to go through rehab again or can just crack on with what I've been doing (aside from not raising my arm over my head and lifting heavy stuff on that side)?

Things Change Quickly.
I am now priorotised for an MRI closely followed by a
pacemaker
that will have 2 wires attached to my heart and a defibrillator will be fitted. This has came completely out of the blue as i expected to be on meds and improve gradually with that, but all this has frightened me somewhat.

pacemaker and a Fitbit
Last Thursday I had a
pacemaker
fitted and during the operation I asked the nurse who was chatting to me if I could continue wearing a Fitbit. She reassured me I could except I had read contradicting advice on various websites.

Replacement pacemaker lead
Is the recovery time similar to that of having a
pacemaker
put in? I’m a teacher and wondering when I could go back into work. I also run and would like to know how long I should leave it before exercising again. And finally, is it another month off driving? thanks all.

Oh no, I don't want this 😭
I'm now struggling with the request from my cardiologist that I have a two wire
pacemaker
fitted in 11 days. He says it won't stop the tachycardia I rarely get, but will stop the bradycardia I do get. The bradycardia isn't noticed by myself anymore.

update on girlfriend pacemaker issues
hi everyone, thankyou to all who commented and showed support to my post the other day. Thanks to your comments, we found the issue and she is no longer in pain (except for the incision), we’re so close to getting her out now, but she is having issues with heart rate, they’ve done multiple correction

Just been fitted with two lead
pacemaker
. Diagnosed with Tachy/brady and also put on sotalol beta blockers. Everybody keeps saying I should feel so much better but I don't. I am just left with no energy. I am usually very fit.

Flying with Pacemaker and AF - still living the dream!
Quite an exciting week as Hubble decided to go flying - in a Spitfire at 89, with
pacemaker
and AF. Just wanted to show - life with AF is not all about the anxt! He LOVED it, especially the 2 victory rolls and got to handle the controls.

Shock diagnosis and 4 week wait for "Rapid Access" Heart Failure Clinic. Is my Anxiety justified?
Later the
pacemaker
clinic said I may just need another lead. When the echo team left, another very junior doctor sorted out the leads and said, bless him, that he didn't know why they call it heart failure. It's a decline in function.
