First Ozurdex implant
I had my very first
Ozurdex
implant today and it went really well. The doctor who did it was very experienced and quick and I didn’t realise it had been done until I heard the click. let’s hope it works well.

Vasculitis of the eye
Now the
ozurdex
implant is wearing away and the oedema is back in the eye. The immunosuppressant ( metothexrate) which is I was using for 16 weeks has not managed to stop the oedema. Till
ozurdex
was present, oedema was at bay.

Prescribed Diamox, on pred, not feeling good
I have macula odeama in one eye, the last
ozurdex
injection was in December. Check up on Thursday showed no odeama and the retina is holding but pressure was up to 33. Dr prescribed Diamex, with Diffu X to protect potassium, and additional drops.

OZURDEX® and Floater
I assume this is the
OZURDEX
® implant. Is it normal for it to be visible like this?

Ozurdex injection
I am at some time in the not too distant future having
Ozurdex
implant in my eyes.
Ozurdex
is a steroid. Will this have any effect on the steroids I normally take. Probably a strange question I know but my brain works in strange ways

ozurdex injection
She suggested I have an
Ozurdex
injection. We got to talking about cataracts and she looked at mine and said they were moderate. She then said she would make me an appointment for her cataract clinic and that 2 weeks before the op she would give an
Ozurdex
injection.

I am due to have
Ozurdex

macular oedema and cataracts
She offered me
Ozurdex
and said it could give me cataracts. I said to her that I am on long term steroids for my polymyalgia rheumatica.

I want to hear from anybody who has had an Ahmed valve fitted
In June 2020 I had an
Ozurdex
implant which worked very well. In December2020 I had a second
Ozurdex
implant and the pressure in my eye rose to a very high level and damaged the optic nerve. I now have Glaucoma and my vision is severely limited.

When I got to the Injection Clinic the Doctor running it that day decided tht as I aleady have a cateract in my left eye it would be better to do an

ozurdex implant floating
I had my first
Ozurdex
implant almost 3 weeks ago and its still floating about in my vision. Its driving me crazy at times and is so distracting. My optician says he isn't too familiar with these implants and he can see a small threadlike floater, which I reckon must be the implant.

1st Ozurdex - expectations
Hi all, I had my 1st
Ozurdex
inplant 2 days ago and it was terrible. Should it have hurt?! Everyone at the hospital said it'd take 3 seconds and not hurt AT ALL. I should only have felt a bit of "pushing". I'm pretty sure the numbing drops didn't work.

Hi I have CRVO with macular oedema in my right eye, this happened when I was 46, it’s coming up to a year now and I’ve had 3 lucentis injections and 5 bouts of laser, I’ve recently had the
ozurdex
implant and i must say that it has improved my sight but I was just wandering if anyone else has had this

Need more information from people with same problems.
I have been treated with avastin,
ozurdex
,and now Eyelea for 6 years. My central vision is gone in the treated eye. Vision is just finger counting. My saving grace is my 20/20 good eye. I was starting to get the injections every 2 months and the last 2 visits 7 weeks and 6 weeks apart.

Bit of a rant (sorry!)
😆 Long story short I had the
Ozurdex
steroid implant put in my eye in February in a last ditch attempt to recover some of my central vision. (I lost my central vision due to having proton beam radiotherapy for an occular melanoma about 3/4 years ago.

Luckily I go to two different hospitals for checks ups (local and another I was diagnosed at) few weeks ago had a routine check up at my local and doctor was shocked to see my eye pressure had shot
