Could I be hypo if no symptoms aside from lethargy and depression?
Dear all I am new to this forum. I have been doing a lot of reading on hypothyroidism and am wondering if I may be a sufferer. I have been depressed for a good five years. Not seriously, luckily, like in bed all day every day. I mean I do have the occasional good day. But in general my mood is low

Ordering a-Syn blockers in bulk. Master list of nutrients for PD.
I'm going to order the following plant extracts in bulk from China as powders and mix them for storage and later mixing in drinks. I'll dump the powders in a 5 gallon bucket, shake, bottle, and label according to FDA. I'm already taking about 2/3 of them. Let me know if I'm missing anything. I

Trying to overcome depression naturally, please advise
I have been diagnosed depression and severe anxiety in September, but signs were already there earlier this year. Anyway, things start going downward quickly. It's like been told I have anxiety/depression made me become really ill. Within a couple of days, I started to have insomnia, waking up at 4am

Less is more when it comes to my pills
Thanks to new thinking by some medical authorities regarding statins and blood pressure meds for us old folks, I'm now taking only one prescription medication – – carbidopa levodopa. And only three over-the-counter pills – – Vitamin D-3, curcumin and 5-HTP. For details, see http://bit.ly/1HxzXZA.

Cortisol high level how to lower, how to reduce, risks and danger by Ray Sahelian, M.D.
Can someone decipher what this means please: 'Cortisol and 5-HTP L-5-hydroxytryptophan induced increase in salivary cortisol in panic disorder patients and healthy volunteers. Psychopharmacology 2002. The results show that L-5-hydroxytryptophan stimulated salivary cortisol is a useful probe of serotonin

Amitriptyline withdrawl update
I thought i would update those interested in my recent post on how i suceeded in coming off amitrptyline. It is now 5 and half weeks without any and feeling much better. I would definately not recommend the cold turkey way i proceeded and I was niave in thinking a small dose of 10 mg would have little

alternatives to AD-s?
Hi! Has anyone tried alternatives to antidepressants? I've been suffering from depression for 10 years and tried tons of AD-s, which actually made me worse. There's a relatively new drug called Valdoxan and it does not make me feel like a zombie, just keeps me afloat (so I don't want to kill myself

Natural Cures/Assistance & Help For Anxiety
There's a lot of people who come on here to vent and ask for assistance on coping with the overall symptoms of anxiety, which is obviously what's going to be the case as this is an anxiety support forum, however, why don't we share our knowledge of what we use to relieve our symptoms, without the use

Getting off sertraline
Hi, I've been trying to cut down and eventually give up the sterlaline I was prescribed for anxiety. I hate taking it and know the anxiety is just part of the overall problem. I've just had an endo appointment and extensive blood tests so am waiting on the outcome of that. My ideal end goal is to try

The "miracle" of the OTC serotonin booster 5-HTP and my non-motor Parkinson's symptom's
The serotonin-booster 5-HTP, an inexpensive OTC supplement, has been more effective with the non-motor symptoms of my Parkinson's than levadopa has been with my motor symptoms. Recent research suggests that the Parkinson's medical community has been focusing too much on dopamine and that more attention

Miaxial trial
Hi all. Am new on here. Have had fibromyalgia for about 20 years and have never taken anything for it except painkillers prescribed by doctor. Have had many X-rays, blood tests for cause of pain but have never been formally diagnosed. Recently after some online research I came across Miaxial, a powder

5-HTP
This is an over-the-counter supplement. My neighbour recently suggested I try it. I can recommend it to anybody struggling with apathy and lack of energy. I had a fist-sized meningioma removed in 1997. As it turned out, I'd picked up FRONTAL LOBE /DYSEXECUTIVE SYNDROME somewhere along the line.
