Had Gem, Carbo and Avastin Tuesday
Not feeling too bad at all, not taking the anti-sickness tablets as they make me sooo constipated but not feeling sick at all. Energy much better today so back at work. Do you all get given antibiotics to take as a matter of course from day 8? I have attached a photo of my friends and I at the coffee

Chemo imminent - Ocean Trial
Has anyone else been on the Ocean regime? I'm going to have gem, carbo and avastin on day 1 and then gem again on day 8 then rest for the rest of the 3 week period. How did you feel? I was pretty good on taxol & carbo for firstline.

Cancer is back confirmed by CT scan
It is in the abdomen, several little bits but not in lymph nodes or in any other organs. Chemotherapy soon with Avastin hopefully. Not surprised as CA125 was 1058 but still leaves you feeling rather shaky and upset. Here we go again with the fight! Lovis

I have had GCT 6 times in the past 10 years. I have had been treated with chemo, and Avastin but keeps coming back. So tired of fighting
This crap! Anybody else have this many reoccurrences? Feeling a little discouraged. Everytime I have surgery it takes longer and longer to heal. I have pain from a lot from all the scar tissue. Just hoping to connect with someone else who's had many reoccurances.

after effects from avastin
Hi everyone my first post on this very supportive site. Does any one have any experience of how long side effects last. I seem to have quite a selection from my 17 courses infusions; three with chemo and 14 stand alone and finishing 5 weeks ago. I know the half life of the drug is quite long but wonder

Chemo at last!!
Hello Everyone, Just a quick update - after having to pack up as soon as we could to return from our happy stay on the Algarvian Campsite in Portugal, and arriving home mid-January, things seemed to progress so slowly. It was decided that I should have some CT guided biopsies on some more of my tumours

Increase in ca125 markers, but scan does not show any tumours, is anyone in a similar position?
I was diagnosed 4oc in March 2012, had chemo then surgery then chemo/Avastin and finally Avastin on its own. Just had last one but unfortunately ca markers have started to go up usually around 10 but then 15, 27 and yesterday 37. Luckily my scan was clear so no tumours detected but my doctor says it

Hi there well gone scan results yesterday, all stable and marker staying down. I got the courage to ask if I would be staying on the Avastin as hadnt done that yet. Answer was yes, so had Gem and Avastin today, Gem next week if my white cells behave and then finished chemo. After that will have Avastin

Keeping Up the Pressure for a Cancer Drugs Fund in Wales
Yesterday I was contacted by the South-Wales Echo to re-run the story about moving to England to access the cancer drug Avastin. They've got a lead on the front page and my pic and article appears on P 3!!!! This is particularly relevant this week as Jeremy Hunt complained at the Britain Against Cancer

Best Christmas present
Hi lovely ladies just wanted to let you know I have just had the best early Christmas present. Following my chemo and surgery I had a PET CT scan which showed no active cancer in my body except a small concern in my neck. There always seems to be good news and bad. Anyway now had results of neck scan

HI All. Just to tell you that my last CT Scans have shown no new tumours, and also CA125 readings are down. So good news to spread to all. Will remain on Avastin - which is working; yippee. Can now look forward as this time last year I wasn't even sure I would see Christmas. As you all know we greet
