Side Effects of Carbo/Gemzar/Avastin
Hello all. I am starting these three on Monday. I am trying to get an idea of how bad the side effects will be. I work full-time and trying to figure out what I will or won’t be able to do. Also, how long after is Avastin given for maintenance? Thank you everyone.

Anyone else on blood thinners?
I've been on blood thinning medication for years because I have a genetic problem called Leiden V, which means I get deep vein thrombosis - had loads down the years, so that's why I'm on permanent meds for it Now they want to give me piclataxel, carboplatin and avastin - I note that piclataxel might

Hello everyone. This is my first post. 4 months ago I was diagnosed with wet macular in right eye. The same afternoon I was referred to a retinal specialist by my opthomologist and was given an injection of Avastin. Within 10 min afterwards the pain was excruciating. No sleep that night from pain.

Overthinking
Hello lovelies Hope you are all doing ok I have just returned from a wonderful holiday to Miami and the Bahamas with my fantastic husband Kevin, it was to celebrate his 60th which is today. We flew back overnight and I managed to embarrass him on the plane by getting an announcement to the whole plane

CA 125 was going down nicely, then it went up-Carbo Gemzar Avastin
I always write here when I have a problem, more than when it's going well... so when I read here I see lots of people probably do that. It had been going well. I am my first recurrence, Carbo Gemzar with Avastin. It had been going down after my doctor added Avastin, but this week went up 3 points, from

Still here after 8 years!
I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2010. After surgery and chemo I was lucky to have five years of relatively normal living but unfortunately the cancer returned in 2015. It has spread to my lymphatic system but after a few unsuccessful attempts to control the disease I am now on oral chemo and avastin

Any similar experience please?
Diagnosed a year ago with Ovarian Cancer. Treatment has never gone smoothly...Anaphylactic reactions to Paclitexol, caeylex and Avastin. Carboplatin and Gem stopped working for me. Now I have fewer options because of the reactions I have had. I go tomorrow to see consultant to discuss this. I was too

Brca1 diagnosis help for my daughter
I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in September 2016. I had 3 rounds of chemo and went for debulking surgery in January 2016. It was inoperable so I continued with 3 more chemo's and have now had 16 of 18 treatments of Avastin. I feel very lucky because my scan shows minimal disease ( ca125

Eye injection
Hi all, it’s been a year since I posted regarding my colonoscopy.... all’s well in that department A new problem has come up. Last week I was having problems with an eye floater and a flash in my left eye peripheral. Went to Ophthalmologist immediately and they started me on a series of eye injections

Hi. I remember someone mentioning on here that they had been skiing on avastin. Who was your travel insurance with? I am booked to go to La Plagne on 10th March. I have stage 3 c and complete my initial course of chemo on 22nd Feb. My recent CTand MRI show no measureable disease. I will be on avastin

Private medical insurance & NHS treatment money back!
Hi ladies Just a quick bit of info for you. Hubby and I have private medical through his work. Like many of you I had my TAH done at an NHS hospital and was advised to do this as they could keep a better eye on me on the ward than in a separate side room. I never even bothered phoning the private company

"You are stable" - well, I never expected to hear that today.
Added after post: Above are some of the images from my PET Scans for last July and October. I haven't got last week's to show unfortunately. I wanted to show how much tumours can diminish with just carbo and avastin in the hope it gives hope to everyone - especially those who may be Stage 4B, as

Stage 3c ovarian cancer Nov 2016
Hey everyone. Good to get on this forum & hear of other people going through the same experiences. I had debulking surgery Dec 2016. The cancer had spread further than the CT scan showed so they had to remove my sigmoid colon, consequently I ended up with a colostomy bag. Started chemo in Jan 2017 &

Any advice on Carboplatin and Caelyx?
Morning Warriors, Due to start six cycles of Caelyx this Thursday ☹️. Any advice on possible side effects? Have previously been on Carbo/Taxol, Avastin and weekly Taxol so know each one brings its own problems. Would be grateful for any help. 💕💕🤗🤗
