watch and wait - how long?
my mom met with her oncologist today to review her scan. She’s 10 months out since her last treatment for her first reoccurrence. There is a node that grew by .5 cm and they suggested more monitoring, continue avastin and if any further changes to start chemo. Anyone had a similar experience? How long

Infusions and side effects
Is there anyone who has undergone the Avastin (immunology) infusions, who stopped them because of the side effects, but not at the instigation of the oncologists. It was their own decision. Did they experience serious consequences from interrupting the infusions? Also how did this impact on their treatment

Hi all, it's been awhile since I've been on here, so I will refresh all of you with my journey with cancer. I had Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer stage 3C, negative Brca. I did 6 rounds chemo, & also had a total hysterectomy. In fact today is my 1 year anniversary of that surgery, 9/8/ 22. I was then put

EFFECTS OF TREATMENT
Just a quick question - have any of those undergoing treatment with Avastin experienced bite like skin eruptions that don't seem to heal (dry but similar in look to an ulcer), problems with hearing and excess mucus? Our oncologist is on holiday and the present stand in is less than sympatico and/or

lymph node in chest
hi I was diagnosed in 2017 stage 4 and had usual chemo and debulking surgery followed by avastin. Last scan just showed enlarged lymph node in mediastinal area of chest. 20mm in size. Ca125 is still 7 and all bloods are good. Feel fit. Oncologist wants to wait and scan in three months then consider

Update on Mum- recurrence is appendix cancer not OC, olaparib and avastin stopped.
Good morning everyone. Hope you’re keeping as well as can be.. So after Mums CT and recurrence (as some of you may remember) she has had a biopsy and they have confirmed that the plaque like recurrence near her bladder and bowel is from the appendix cancer (that they found in debulk for OC) and not

Losing my resolve and feeling defeated.
I have always tried to be positive and strong but I fear this last diagnosis 3 reoccurrence in less than 3 years, has really kicked me in the gut. I have had one round of Cisplatin/Gemzar and then one week later just Gemzar. The pet scan showed all in my lymph nodes and around omentum and possibly

Lymph nodes
I have peritoneal/ovarian cancer. Diagnosed October 2021. Have had 1st line chemo (carbo/taxol and avastin) and debulking surgery. Then I had 3 cycles of avastin; Due to CA125 rising rapidly I had a PET scan which shows cancer in the lymph nodes. This weeks avastin was cancelled and I am now

Avastin Sore Mouth
Hi there, my mum has had 2 infusions of Avastin and although seems to be tolerating it well she has developed a really sore mouth and eating is really painful. Can anyone recommend anything to help and does this settle down as the treatment progresses? Thanks in advance for any advice. Ashleigh x
