Thanks for responding to my e-mail or at least making it known your experiences with Avastin etc.
My husband has had only 3 infusions, but the hospital and he are delaying on going treatment until his psoriasis, which appeared after his 3rd infusion, has cleared up. However, he seems to be suffering also with "brain fog" and fatigue which may be a sign of long covid (which he had at the same time as the 2nd infusion).
I know you've been undergoing treatment for a much longer time than my husband, so can I ask if your fatigue and lack of motivation is a recent development or have you been experiencing it from early on? Also when you say you've experienced all the side effects did that include skin problems and if so did they take a while to clear?
One of the reasons my husband was not keen to undergo treatment was the possibility of reduced dexterity in his hands (he is a private pilot and also likes working on cars). Has your oncologist recommended halting the treatment and have the tumours reduced or just remained stable? Sorry to burden you with these questions but you are the first person we've encountered who has undergone the course of infusions for a lengthy period of time.
We do hope that the side effects you are having now will improve and you'll regain your quality of life again. SusieB.
Hi, I have had 5 treatments so far. I had to postpone one because of a hacking cough. I was put on antibiotics and prednisone for 5 days which helped. My biggest problem is high blood pressure. I am on medication for it but, It got so bad at one point that I was taken out in an ambulance. I am waiting to speak to my Oncologist.
