CA125 rising
I was diagnosed with OC 3c in September 2016. My CA125 was over 9000 at that point and rose to over 11000 as I started chemo (weekly paclitaxel and 3 weekly avastin and carboplatin). I had surgery in January 2017 and have had 7 weeks more chemo since. I have two more weekly sessions of paclitaxel to

Avastin Caused Permanent Kidney Damage - Looking at Dialysis
HELP........... It appears Avastin has caused permanent kidney damage and I will now require dialysis to clean out my kidneys (probably 3 times a week). Is anybody on dialysis while on chemo????????? I thought I was doing everything right and yet I hit another brick wall. I am trying hard to stay

Avastin Gave Me Kidney Damage/Doxil Didn't Work
Hello Ladies, Here is my story: First line treatment, I did amazing (or so I thought). My scans were clean and I lived a short remission. I recurred and was put on monthly doses of Avastin and Doxil. The Avastin has given me a terrible time. I had to stop after three full doses. I now have high

Caelyx
Can any one give me any information on how they have been with Caelyx? I am feeling terribly depressed as the oncologist team offered me a trial of a super duper new drug which has been launched by Pfizer. They are so confident in it that they are paying for the trial themselves. Naturally I jumped at

Recurrence!
I am so discouraged! I was diagnosed with high grade serous ovarian cancer in August of 2008 with a recurrence in February 2013, March 2015 and now again in 2017. Each time I have had surgery followed by different combos of chemo. I have been on Lymparza for the last year but recent pet scan shows

Avastin.
Had my avastin today. Nearly didn't have it as I had protein in my urine (again) but they went ahead with it. Saw the doctor and he was saying if I get 6 months in complete remission , I'm currently 2 then it's better for me as will mean I'm platinum sensitive. If not I'm platinum resistant. Also he

Two ailments?!
I've been waking up (well, not sleeping really) with really painful shoulders, arms, neck and hips. No pain killers were helping so I went to see my GP today. She wants me to have a blood test to see if I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR), although she suggested that it may be a side effect of Avastin

It's back
Hi Everyone, I went yesterday to my 6 month post chemo check-up and found out what I pretty much already knew that the ovarian cancer is back. I could feel that something was different, so I wasn't surprised until I heard one of the spots in my lower left abdomen was 5 by 5 cm. I do feel scared but I

Picc line
I had Avastin on Tuesday. The nurse had trouble finding a vein, and managed on the third try. I have 9 more doses to go, and I am worried that they will want to put in a picc line. I know some people are happy with them, but it seems revolting to me. Can anyone tell me what it is actually like?
