Changing to Armour from Levothyroxine
On the advice of my nutritionist, I asked and persuaded my G.P. to switch me from Levo to Armour Thyroid but I've read a few other messages on here now about doing a gradual switch over and even a split dosage. I have been taking my normal dose of Levo ....50mcg a day because I was unsure how long it

Chicken pox
I have had PMR for about a year, I have read that we should avoid contact with anyone who has chicken pox. The virus is going round the school I work in. I definitely had chicken pox as a child - will my antibodies protect me or should I be careful?

Functional Neurology
A while back I posted a question, “Does anybody else use functional neurology as a treatment program?” I did not hear from anybody that does, but many responses asking me what it’s about. So I will try to explain my experience with functional neurology in very layman’s terms. I was referred to a functional

Stevia better for Lyme than antibiotics? How much more can nature give us without dreadful risks?
In the late 90's I got my first Stevia when visiting family in the US... used it for porridge and where needed in place of sugar. Once hypothyroidism diagnosed, decade+ later, I was so happy not to have been using sugar. I enjoyed stevia [particularly granulated], certainly good enough as a sweetener

hi everyone, I am currently freaking out. Let me tell you why. So I poked myself with this metal thing about 4 days ago. I went to the doctor and had to get a tetanus shot (just to be safe) even though I'm terrified of needles. I got the needle (2 days ago) and my arm has been sore since (i know its

Viral meningitis
Hi My son who is in his mid 50s was first diagnosed with Viral meningitis 10 years ago. Since that time he has had 8-10 relapses and is currently back in hospital. The best help has been with a virologist in the hospital who suggested infusions (aclovir?) through a lead in his arm-3x a day for 10 days

Lyme disease
Wow this has been quite the experience. So I just found out from an early blood test in July 2015 that i had several reactive bands from a Lyme IgM and Igg western blot, but never tested definitively positive for Lyme according to the U.S. standards. I am now taking doxycycline for 3 days (400mg/day)

Chicken pox
Is it true that being near a child with chicken pox can have a serious affect on someone with pmr. I remember my gp saying something about it when I was first diagnosed almost two years ago. I'm only asking because my sister brought her granddaughter for a visit last week and the little one kept saying

Lyme Disease bacteria is just one of the pathogens that could be causing your thyroid dysfunction
Check out these symptoms of undiagnosed Lyme Disease. Do they look familiar? http://wakeup-world.com/2015/08/15/chronic-lyme-disease-a-modern-plague-the-government-chooses-to-ignore/ The Lyme Disease bacteria and associated co-infections are just a few of the pathogens that can contribute to thyroid

Another episode
Ok it has happened again. I moved to a new community, and wanted to get established with a Physician. My headaches and neck / back ache and the burning feeling has returned. Upon meeting the doctor I explained I have Mollaretts meningitis and he said ( what is that). I explained it is reoccurring meningitis
