Hi is anyone on these two inhalers. I have been on them for 18years. I found them very good but just lately I find I have to take a puff of Atrovent in between. I find the weather affects me dreadfully in Ireland. I also have a nebuliser whuch I take if I am really not well but thankfully it not often

Just out of hospital
For the first time I spent 4 nights in hospital due to an asthma attack. I arrived in hospital on Tuesday evening by ambulance. I was then treated in A&E. I was then moved to an observation ward for the night. However, my chest did not settle and I continued to need nebs throughout the night. Therefore

Hello Asthma friends
Spring turned into winter with fresh snow on the mountains. I am aching a lot. Apart from all the tests under the sun, like coloscopy and immunology, things are better. I am tapering down the Seretide 250mg. They are not sure I have asthma. They think it is the dyspnea from the LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis

Review and Spirometry Test - Result.
Well I gave it my best pppppppppppppppppuuuuuufffffffffffffff - gasp! But it wasn't good enough for my Respiratory Matron who was expecting an improvement over last months effort. I didn't bother looking at the printout. I have already established that old age will finish me long before COPD gets a chance

Throat problems ... from medication?
I have copd. I am on oxygen 24/7. I take Spiriva first in the morning. I rinse and then gargle very well with water after. I have been on Spiriva for a number of years and it never caused me any problem. Then the doctor added Flovent to my med schedule. An hour or two after taking Spiriva I take 2 puffs

Shiny new inhaler
Telephoned the Drs this morning and got an appointment for today (yes I'm one of the lucky ones if I phone first thing 99.9% of the time I can get a same day appointment) coughing, wheezing, tight chest (I've got a cold) chest is clear so no infection 👍🏻And thankfully my dr didn't want me to go on more

Rapid heart rate
Hi everyone 😊 I was just put on Advair which my insurance would not cover. I took the alternative of taking 220mcg Flovent ( corticosteroid) and 50mcg Severent ( salmeterol). These meds made a miraculous positive difference, was using rescue inhaler several times a day, now only 1- 2 times. PFT shows

Increase in severity of asthma
Hi everyone, I am new here but glad to have found this forum. I have had asthma since I was a baby and it has always been really well controlled. I would get a chest infection in the winter and be given antibiotics and usually recover within a week or two. Not this time. I became ill last November

Follow directions when using your inhaler for better outcome
Good morning all - I was recently diagnosed with stage 1 COPD. My pulmonary doctor put me on a Flovent inhaler to be used twice a day - 2 puffs in the morning and 2 puffs 12 hours later. I went to the Flovent site on my computer and was surprised to learn that I was using my inhaler wrong the first

Nasal Sprays?
Hello - I am fairly new to COPD, but I suspect I've had it for a few years at least. I see a pumonologist and an allergy doctor. The allergist has me on Singulair and Flonase nasal spray. (He does not know I have COPD yet, but I will see him again in April - in time for my brutal Spring allergies.
