Feel like I failed because I'm on pred. AGAIN
Hi everyone, I just joined today. It seems like you have a really nice forum going here with lots of support. I'm from the US, but have been looking for a place that I can talk about my asthma where people will understand, and this is the best forum I've seen. So glad to be here. Here's my story briefly

chest consultants
just wondering what happens when you see your chest consultants, cause when i went to see mine today on the advice of my doctor, after a number of courses of prednisolone in quite short space of time. all he said was that i was already on the maximum medication and there was nothing else he could do

Information required about Atrovent
I am currently struggling with my breathing at the moment although I have used all my medication and this evening my peakflow is 100. This question I have is, does anyone else use more that the required dose of an inhaler when suffering with asthma flare up. I am trying to avoid going to A&E this late

Up and down...do you get this?
Hi, I'm in the middle of a flare at the moment and was wondering if you all have this happen when your asthma acts up? On Tuesday it was terrible (coughing up phlem, tightness, cough, pain). Went to my asthma doctor quickly and got a handful on inhalers (I have a few things so they had been trying to

Newly Diagnosed
Hi Everyone I gave up smoking after 30 years on 1st August this year and within three weeks of being smoke-free, I had my first asthma attack :-( I have Atrovent at night and also have a Salbutamol Reliever during the day if I need it. Which I've needed quite regularly recently after a big attack.

Short Memory
I was wondering if anyone else with asthma also has a short memory once you are feeling better. My 19 year old son had a near-fatal athma attack 3 months ago and has been back to emergency 3 times since. He upped his Flovent to the daily max and is now feeling much better. He informed me that his asthma

Asthma attack and getting used to neb
Hi all, So I had an asthma attack at work yesterday. I took for puffs of my rescue, and then two more puffs of atrovent a while later. Quite frusterated at the moment. It's very hard to work when I suddenly can't breath. At the moment I'm taking singulair, a steroid inhaler, and xopenex/atrovent nebs

Asthma and being well enough to work.
Hi everyone I read the forum often but don't often have the confidence to post, but have gained a lot from reading other people's experiences. I am signed off long term with my asthma, but I had been working a few hours a week on a work scheme (supported employment / back to work type thing) at

This is for UK asthma sufferers only.I am looking for an old atrovent inhaler that is not cfc free.It was distributed by Polyfarma Ltd. and if you are not using it I will purchase it, and it dosent matter if the use by date has been passed. Hopeful...how strange is this?
Hi guys, I know I haven't posted a new thread in a while but thought I'd let you know what's going on. In graduate school I was diagnosed with moderate persistent asthma, and treated with several meds for that and reflux, only the coughing didn't ever really go away. Also, I would take oral steroids
