Are Food supplements worth a try?
Hi all, I have recently been hospitalised with an endo flare requiring a significant amount of
opioids
to help with the pain. i have read online that omega 3, turmeric and ginger root supplements are good at acting as an anti-inflammatory and are helpful in relieving long term chronic pain.

Could Posterior Scleritis be linked to Baricitinib?
It’s been a difficult time since then managing on steroids and
opioids
so I’m desperate not to have side effects outweighing benefits of the Baricitinib as there is nothing else for me to try.

3 years Buprenorphine Success.
Always remember Willis Ekbom disease is not the medical curriculum so they are not educated about RLS they are also worried about
opioids
which I am certain they all have some in their own medical cabinet at home.

Severe chronic pain from worn neck discs
He has been prescribed every pain and nerve med going (except for
opioids
, which he wants to avoid) and has also tried a miriad of alternative treatments costing us a fortune. He finds alcohol helps him to get some sleep, after he has been awoken with severe pain for 3 hours every night.

For the experts, or anyone who has done a sleep study: what is the benefit of actually doing one, if you are far down the RLS road?
After long term DA use, many doctors, an iron infusion,
opioids
, etc.? Do they actually have you lie there all night without any meds or help? Would I learn anything? It is hard to imagine that much could come from it, but I would love any input from the forum. Thanks very much!

Query DEXA Scan.
I had a DEXA about 3 week's ago having been suffering with 2 fractured vertebrae for almost 2 year's. I have been begging for a scan since they found the fracture's on an Xray 2 year's ago. When I , eventually, had the scan the Radiographer confirmed that I have 2 wedge fracture's, the 2 vertebrae

Best Treatment if you’re already on Opioids
Hi, I’ve just arrived. I have only recently begun suffering from RLS. I’m on a ton of very strong pain killers for Fibromyalgia, CRPS, a bowel disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Acute Anxiety & Clinical Depression & more. So my pain meds already include: Diazepam, Oxycodon, Fentanyl Patches, Zapain

Pregabalin, Dosage thoughts?
Hi, I restarted Pregabalin in Feb. this year partly I have to say out of desperation, there being nothing else prescribeable available to me, GP had allowed me to trial Codeine but it took 90mg to suppress symptoms and there was no way that was going to be viable long term, more potent

Advice moving forward:
My doctor was horrified at the thought of prescribing
opioids
and I suspect he won’t consider this. What are other peoples experiences? I have read a lot on here about buprenorphine which I believe has a ceiling effect which means dangerous amounts of dosage are not possible.

RLS Meds & Post-Surgical complications
Although the Oxycodone did take manage of my pain once he increased my dosage to 10 mgs (my doctor discovered that he had to give me more than 5 mg every 4 hours, because my tolerance for
opioids
was high due to 5 years on Tramadol).

Jelbea in reply to dickJones and anyone on buprenorphine patches or tablets.
GPs usually have to keep a strict record of
opioids
and I understand this. I do not know what I will do if the buprenorphine fails for me. As everyone knows on this site RLS is a very cruel disease.

Pregabalin not working so GP has put me on Duloxetine. I am confused!
He was also quite firm that NHS policy was against prescribing
opioids
, (Buprenorphine or Oxycodone) for obvious reasons.

Help with talking to dr about meds
Are the medications that work on the brain does like
opioids
do. I don’t want to seem like an addict. I already struggle to take myself to the dr or hospital when I’m I real extreme pain, because I don’t want to seem like a drug seeker. I really want to be able to focus like I can on the pain meds.
