Does anyone have any direct experience of Targinact?
Hi Everyone, this is my first post but I've been reading everything on this forum for a while now. I'm in real trouble with augmentation after taking ropinirole for 11 years. I successfully tapered off and was completely free of it by April 2023, however the RLS remained severe, and in October I decided

The RLS nightmare
My name is Tim and RLS sucks!!!!! In 2013 i was put on disability because I have flat back syndrome and it has caused chronic pain for over 20 years non stop 24/7 and I am addicted to opioids. On June 20th of this yr I received a dbl laminectomy on my l4 and l5 vertebra and the knife was removed. Now

Oxycodone - the way forward or a dead end?
I have only posted here briefly once but I have been following this great forum for some time. My story is very familiar. Have had RLS for 14 years, was prescribed all the available RLS medication: Ropinirole, Pramipexole (both miraculous at the beginning) Neupro patch ( never tolerated it), Gabapentin

Hi everyone! I was so glad to see 2023 come to an end, but unfortunately, my transition into the new year has not been much better. I think I’ll make a couple of separate posts, so this does not become convoluted, but my most immediate need is finding some resolution for the increasing pain I am

I have it too. Dr.s can't or won't look deeper into it.I've had it for 4 years. I'm female, 58, live in Portland oregon and am a professional in my career. It's truly been a nightmare and changed my whole life. No opioids, no anything. We've got to find a diagnosis then a cure.

Update on Medical Professionals and how to access dental treatment as housebound
Hello, further to my last post, my father in law has had a visit from the Parkinsons Nurse and he won't be revisiting until 3 months time. He has given us a contact email and told us to contact him if things change. My mother in law asked if he was going to get any better (this has been a constant

The problem with Buprenorphine, BTBD9 and serotonin syndrome
This is for those of you who are really struggling with the remedies for RLS. Apologies for not referencing all my research but I’ve been completely wiped out for weeks now. However I wanted to share some insights I’ve had recently and hope it inspires thoughts and research. Adenosine is a chemical

pregabalin vs buprenorphine
I’ve been off pramipexole for a bit over two weeks. I had a fairly easy transition off it thanks to buprenorphine and cannabis, along with pointers picked up here about iron supplements, diet, etc. I started pregabalin but stopped taking it after 10 days or so because of the comments about it not fully

Hello, I’m new to this community as my husband was recently diagnosed with MS.
Diagnosed at 62 years old, MS has really thrown us through a loop. We are struggling to find providers that can help and not hinder his symptoms. We love our MS specialist but she cannot prescribe opioids for his breakthrough pain in shoulder. Went to a pain doctor who is trying to get him to swap

Opioids for RLS- some useful information
Having put this in a recent Reply I thought that I'd add a Post to highlight the information from three key sources which may help members in discussion with a doctor: 1. "Where first line treatments have failed due to adverse effects or augmentation, low dose opioids are highly effective and do not

increase iron
this is my 3rd post and I really appreciate all the help! I am going to talk to my Neurologist about augmentation and opioids. But I was wondering if there is a way to increase my iron levels on my own?

Pain management
Dear Friends: I am currently taking 20mg Methadone daily for RLS and will have painful hand surgery soon. Because Methadone blunts effects of opioids I am concerned about pain management. Any ideas how best to handle? Thank you.

Severe muscle pain after walking
I have struggled with pelvic pain for years. Beginning last summer, I started having problems if I walked too much. I would be able to walk with no pain, but four or five hours later I would get severe, raging muscle pain in the muscles at the front of my hips, my groin, and pelvic pain as well. For

Severe RLS Where do I go now?
Hi! I've been lurking reading your posts for a couple of years. I live in Sweden and am a 58 yo female and have severe burning RLS without PLMD. Here's a condensed version of my story: July 2011 Laminectomy C4-C5. no real slide effects except nerve pain in right index finger which I've learned to block

Alternating cannabis and pramipexole
I've been prescribed pramipexole by sleep specialist and my doctor. They're following the Mayo algorithm so I have to do this before they'll consider opioids. I've tried pregabalin, etc without success. Starting pramipexole on .125mg, up to max .75mg. I'm too scared to take them due to potential augmentation

When to restart Biologics after Covid Infection
Tested positive for Covid ( for the first time) last Wednesday. Was able to access Antivirals by Friday and by Monday was testing negative. Finished Paxlovid this morning. Should have injected Abatacept at the weekend but obviously didn’t! Just wondering what people have been advised re timing of restarting

Bilateral Neuropathy in my legs and arms. I have a Nevro implant that stopped functioning. Now I require opioids to managing my pain.
I am a disabled Vietnam veteran; it is documented that I was exposed to agent orange. The VA is taking great care of me. I wouldn't trade their service for any other. My implant was installed in late February 2021, worked great for nine months. It is now turned off. I have worked with the vendor
