Loss of taste re dental bridge

I had a dental bridge fitted in July - after four months of temporary bridges and suffering those felt the final one would be tons better.

Since having it fitted - I have lost my taste - cannot taste anything and I find that I still cannot eat properly - still sticking to a softish diet and fish as unable to eat meat/chicken/turkey etc. Feel like my bottom teeth are hitting the back of the front teeth like I had a palette fitted which is obviously something to do with the bridge as the front four teeth are attached to the bridge. I wanted dental implants but told because of my deep bite was unable to have this and this was the only option. I wish now I had gone to another dentist for a second opinion.

My top teeth cut into my bottom lip, I find I dribble a lot and TBH days I wish I had not gone ahead but I needed the teeth doing. Unable to have dentures because of my bite.

When I go back and tell the dentist I feel he fobs me off saying he has shaved some of the teeth to stop the bottom lip issue but still doesn't help, and because of my deep bite and age things will take a lot longer to heal and settle.

Bearing in mind this was done privately cost me nearly£10000 because of other work, extractions, composite fillings, fractured filling, cap and root canal filling to say I am upset and depressed is without saying. I know I need to go back but after six months of intensive dental treatment I have kind of stepped away for a break but the no taste is depressing. Due to not being able to eat properly and cutting a lot of food I would normally eat out my diet my weight dropped initially to under six stone!

Can anyone offer help.
