Buprenorphine and methadone
Hi there everyone I am now seeing dr Stephen Gibson pain specialist and Anesthesiologist. Dr prof yee referred me to him for low dose opioids. I started on 5mg Buprenorphine patch- zero relief. He has added 5 mg methadone - instant relief. Any thoughts as to why the mix and not just the methadone?

Finally, off DA but perhaps not for much longer
I am 64 years old and after 22 years of taking the DA Mirapexin, I took my last quarter tablet on July 7th. However, after three weeks of sleepless nights, I may have to start taking them again, which is a depressing prospect. All my bloods (e.g. iron panel, B12, etc) are fine. I started taking pregabalin

USA RLS trial Dr Brian Koo
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/vu3RR4EQt8AmaX35/ A friend forwarded this link from Facebook. Recent studies have shown that beta endorphins, the body's natural opioid hormone, is decreased in RLS patients. This would explain why low dose opioids work so well for RLS patients. I emailed Dr Brian Koo

Total symptoms control with Gabapentin?
Hi everybody! So I keep reading about people who got complete remission of RLS symptoms with opiates but the ones that are on gabapentin or pregabalin don't seem to be so lucky. There always seems to be some RLS left... Are there people here who completely got rid of RLS symptoms while on gabbas? Or

Finally on opioids and it's not working
So after da augmentation, no results with gabapentin and two unsuccessful iron infusions I finally got a doctor to give me Tramadol. I'm aware buprenorphine is a better option and I'm pushing for that, but meanwhile, the 50mg of Tramadol is not doing anything. How long should I wait to increase the dose

buprenorphine & LDN
I feel like an idiot 😱. I thought that I was having augmentation-like issues with buprenorphine. I had overlooked the fact that I started taking LDN (low dose naltrexone; 4.5mg dose) a few days ago after reading about some people getting results from it for RLS. (I had the LDN around because I used

Massachusetts Opioid Register Year 4 results
I attach the latest Massachusetts Opioid Register results, showing the medications taken by participants and the doses. Dr Winkelman set up the Register to show that addiction and tolerance are unlikely to happen when low dose opioids are used for RLS. For those who have augmented on dopamine agonists

Methadone induced brain fog
Hello friends! I have been successfully using 10 mg of methadone for 18 months with no side effects. The past few months I have been experiencing brain fog. It is increasing in severity and frequency. My search to see if methadone or bupremorphine can cause this is enlightening. It definitely can

I’m still searching for a neuro who prescribes opioids in NY. In the meantime, Mayo Clinic published this video. Oxycontin for RLS?
does anyone here take OxyContin for RLS? According to the Mayo Clinic, it’s the primary opioid they prescribe if DAs lead to augmentation and Gabapentin and similar meds fail to work. https://youtu.be/daAyvu14ics?si=OIcd89hmaHpSUGaC

Massachusetts Opioid Register
I've just completed my 6 monthly survey for Dr John Winkelman's Massachusetts Opioid register. It is now in its 5th year and, so far, over 93.6% of the original 500 participants are still filling out the survey. My RLS score is confirmed at 0/40. No RLS symptoms at all in the past month. Hopefully, this
