After being on
opiates
for 20 years, my stomach and bowel are now not working properly and I need daily laxatives and even they don't work well. Over the hospital stay I was unable to "go" for 5 days. I also started getting painful mouth ulcers as soon as I took the first tablet.

tortuous world of pain
It seems counter-intuitive and unfair that person addicted to
opiates
can obtain buprenorphine at a constant prescribed dose, to enable them to live a 'productive' life, (read Employed), whereas the person in chronic pain is denied the same drug, due to fears of addiction.

Successful .. ish ablation
The hardest part of the procedure was keeping up with the explanation of what was going on whilst high on
opiates
and diazapene. It was also a shame for the guy who was next in the queue as he had to wait an extra hour for his turn.

Update finally on treatment
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am finally on treatment, it took nearly 4 months from dx to treatment (due to moving from South Carolina to Seattle area). I am on Ibrance (Dec. 13th) and letrozole (Nov. 16th). And I am on palliative care for pain management since I have neuropathy in my left arm and hand

Still no symptoms
Hi Nearly a year since being told I had decompensated cirrhosis, sadly I've not been able to stop the drinking but have given up the
opiates
. Still doing my best to pack in the drink but it's hard. cold turkey for
opiates
is so easy compared to alcohol.

Switched from Methadone at 10 mg to Buprenorphine 10 mcg
Good Morning, As of June 2023, I began with 5 mg of methadone, and gradually increased it to 20 mg by August. I reported to the forum in early November, a transformation occurred, with the leg spasms virtually gone, caused by RLS at night. I began tapering off, and reduced it to 7.5 mg and have remained

QOL post , etrike trip to Eaton regional hike & bike trail.
The mobility freedom is wonderful and I can even go pick up my own Kaiser prescriptions (
opiates
cannot be mailed ) for a change or go to appointments, ….. ….. being more self sufficient, and less heavily dependent on other people is really nice.

Tramadol
Most doctors in Mexico are not permitted to prescribe any
opiates
, however tramadol is OTC. I don't know if any of the other synthetic
opiates
are available, but will check. My question is because I have augmented on tramadol, will I have the same response to other
opiates
, synthetic or natural?

as well. So again, would you please PM me if you know of or have an understanding doctor who accepts some of us actually need strong pain medication?

Duloxetine - Lack of Motivation
Opiates
and NSAID's don't even make a dent in the pain, and I'm very allergic to Amitriptyline, so Duloxetine is really the last chance saloon in terms of sourcing medication for pain management, and I have been on 60mg now for about 2 months.

frustrated with gp re pain meds.
Ever since I had my stroke in 2018, I’ve not been allowed nsaids, due to the increased risk of further strokes. My then gp prescribed butec patches, which in the 5.5yrs have only been increased twice to the current 15mcg. I was given Tramadol for breakthrough pain which I don’t take too often. A box

Prednisolone vs Co-codamol 30/500
I’m long term PMR, down to 6mg pred and this will be my dose for life. I still ache every day and take normally two Co-codamol 30/500 first thing in morning and at 1800 hrs. I am due à medicine review by my surgery pharmacist and I am pretty sure they want me to cut down or stop the Co-codamol. My

my story
I live in the US and have had RLS and peripheral neuropathy for a number of years and controlled it using tramadol. My doctor took me off of it because of opiate regulations. After trying and failing at buprenorphine, that doctor decided that since I was 80 years old, had been taking a low dose of Tramadol

Insomnia
From what I read online, Kratom is similar to
Opiates
and I am one of the few who get palpitations and Insomnia from both. I saw 2 doctors recently, both admitted ignorance, refused buprenorphine, and prescribed meds (one of which was amitriptyline) which made the rls worse.

Buprenorphine patch failure. Now very few med options left.
I would favour
opiates
and know those that might be candidates, but suggestions as to any possible courses of treatment would be welcome.
