Vestibular problems
I have all types of
nystagmus
. Says it’s probably peripheral vestibular malfunction and maybe something wrong with my ear canals/bones. Wants brain MRI and possible CT angio since I have a small brain artery aneurysm.

Episodic Ataxia w/ tremors & twitching
I have suspected Episodic Ataxia type2, severe episodes of imbalance and coordination issues, vertigo and vomiting, crossed eyes, double vision, persistent
nystagmus
in between episodes, jerking in arms and legs, that last several hours at times but depending on severity can be shorter spells.

Nystagmus....
Has anyone ever experienced or read about
nystagmus
being part of the fnd collection? They say that vertigo is what started this for me and that nothing now is organic. I don't believe them. But I'm trying to find any reference to
nystagmus
as a symptom of fnd. Any help would be great.

My Episodic Ataxia
At the time of diagnosis, they’d last about 3-4 hours each time, associated with vertigo, nausea, vomiting, tremors during episodes, the need for a wheelchair during them and have persistent
nystagmus
for the most part. I was put on medication diamox to help control some of it.

LOOKS THAT WAY
Was born with
Nystagmus
which is a involuntary movement. Even tho You can see my eyes move it took forty years to be properly diagnosed. It's a long story of being overlooked. I think I should write a book.

The Dr literally shut down ....
But I am not so good that I can fake
nystagmus
. Or a lifetime of migraines? I'm just not that good. Now the neuro starts to backpedal and wants to see the reports and the test results afterall. I repeated his words back 'as a neurologist there isn't anything I can do for you."

A possible help with Nystagmus
NYSTAGMUS
Nystagmus
most commonly causes the eyes to move involuntarily from side to side in a rapid, swinging motion. It can also cause the eyes to jerk sideways or up and down.
Nystagmus
is usually acquired during early infancy but can also develop later in life.

The 3 main ‘types’ of ataxia (not SCA)
Vertical
nystagmus
or positional
nystagmus
(one that changes direction when altering the head position) may also be seen.

I have
Nystagmus
when I turn round. I only feel I'm getting half my sight. I wondered if anything else can cause this condition than bppv. I've had a mri and also referral to neurologist. Eply doesn't help.hasnt for 10 years. I'm so fed up. I want my life back. MRI came back normal.

Writing, typing any suggestions?
It would be great to not have to look at the keyboard at all, with
nystagmus
that develops with head movement and looking away from directly in front on eye level, or is worse if any tiny cold comes along. I cannot do much at all except limited exercise so FB is very important to me.

Dealing with Episodic Ataxia.
I have the coordination problems in episodes, except the
nystagmus
(involuntary eye movements) which is there outside episodes too. There are certain triggers, which can set off the episodes.

Neither he nor the other drs--two of whom are neuro opthamologists would blame
nystagmus
