I have Nystagmus when I turn round. I only feel I'm getting half my sight. I wondered if anything else can cause this condition than bppv. I've had a mri and also referral to neurologist. Eply doesn't help.hasnt for 10 years. I'm so fed up. I want my life back. MRI came back normal. I've been found fit for work but I cant walk straight let alone focus. Any advice. It's going to be mths till I c someone.

Are you sure it’s Nystagmus? Ie have you been diagnosed? I have damaged the vestibular systems, of which they (physios) tested for Nystagmus a number of times, while getting in my personal space. But didn’t test positive for that, apparently my eyes don’t track as well, which I hadn’t noticed, though had noticed the vertigo.

So in short yes it would appear that you can have Nystagmus with or without bppv.

I have my eyes flicker left and right and sometimes feel they work independently of each other. Like my brain wants to look at something but my eyes are slow reacting. If u have damage is it repairable. No I havent been diagnosed by a specialist a doctor called it that who is referring me to a neurologist

Thx for ur reply

I have always had a mild nystagmus. Every time I go for an eye test the optician picks up on it. It doesn't really affect me though except if I turn my head quickly or look up fast. Then I get dizzy and lose my balance which makes me feel really stupid. I have learnt to live with it though.
