Meds change
Hi everyone, Hope you are all having an enjoyable bank holiday Monday. I have now had 5 weeks off the meds, and my Oncologist has changed them for Tamoxifen, due to the severe side effects from the Zoladex and Letrozole. I am under no illusions that there won't be any side effects with Tamoxifen, I

Zoladex then what?
I have been having monthly zoladex injections for 18months now. It seems the last few months I have had pain creeping back. Can this happen? I'm looking at coming off it as I've been on it such a long time plus the side effects are not very pleasant. I must admit I'm scared of coming off it as I know

Zoladex and estrogen
Hi all, I am new here and in need of a bit of advice! I am 26 and have been on zoladex for around 18 months now. I was told to take estrogen tablets alongside this but they made me bleed so badly that I stopped taking them. Time has rather escaped me and I have been so busy with work etc. that I haven't

To take early retirement or not?
Prepare for a little ramble. I am wondering how many of the people who post here have remained (or managed to remain) in employment. I am 57, with 8 years to go until I officially retire from my job as an academic. My PSA has been as high as 432, though I have no bone mets (the mets are apparently

Advice of what to do next?
Hello I am new and have been reading everyone's posts and finding them very helpful. I got diagnosed last July after laparoscopy but unfortunately they only removed one endo spot. I was told it was through my blood vessels in my womb ovaries and tubes and it couldn't be removed without taking the organs

Zoladex - 6 months done... what are the possible aftermath effects of the zoladex leaving my system
Hi, I was diagnosed in 2006 following laparoscopy. The laparoscopy identified large areas of endometriosis with large amounts attaching the uterus to the bowel. So have done every treatment, and then 6 months of zoladex. The consultant had said they would generally hold off the hysterectomy until I

Fed up 😩
Hi girls. So I'm so frustrated today as my endo has reared its head 10 fold :(. The last few months my pain has been manageable despite removal of all hormone treatments as TTC. This week I found out the reason for this: I'm not ovulating. Bitter pill to swallow as on one hand I was thrilled that

Bailing on 3rd Zoladex!
After days of stressing and bad sleep with 20 minutes to go to the appointment I couldnt face going through with it and called to cancel the nurses appointment. The doctors surgery called me back 20 minutes later and now I have to go see their senior gynae GP this afternoon who unfortunately is unfamiliar

Next appt
So my last gynaecologist appointment went okay, she's put me on zoladex, and booked and MRI and ct. which I have now had. She said she would see me after my 3 months of zoladex unless the scans proved otherwise. I haven't even been in zoladex a month and she wants to see me on the 5th on next month

I'm doing well on them and finding relief from the endo pain, always up until the week before I'm due my next one when the pains start again and I really start struggling

How quickly does it take for Zoladex to work
I had my first injection on the day my period was due (last Tuesday). So far, I've not had my period but I didn't think it would work that quickly? I've been off work for 7 weeks with unmanageable pain and so I'm just wondering how long it will take to start helping with the pain. I had prostap years

Asthma Hormones cured :)
I would like to share some positive / helpful information for anyone going through hell and trying to find answers. My wife (47) was diagnosed with asthma in her 20's. She occasionally had the odd puff on her inhaler, but never had an attack. Then two years ago she had a severe attack and spent 10 days

Coming off zoladex help!
Hey ladies! So I'm on 4/6 zoladex injections now. It's been hard and to be honest I can't bloody wait for them to stop. But 2 more to push through. I've found my hot flushes are uncontrollable and so uncomfortable for a 22 year old 😩. I can't remember the last time I slept properly. And my mood swings

Coming off long term Zoladex
Hello, its been years since Ive been on here - not much has changed but after 10 years I have a new consultant who has told me to come off Zoladex. Its been 3 months and nothings happened, I just wondered what others coming off it after being on it long term have experienced.

Heavy spotting on zoladex plus double tibilone
I am over a month and a half into a tibilone trial. After the first month I doubled my dose of tibilone due to extreme brain fog. I started to spot lightly but it's gotten heavier and I am now experiencing quite heavy dark spotting daily. Anyone experienced this?? Is this typical of zoladex with normal
